I'm just a club member. I don't sit on the executive. I have no power to throw them out of the club.

I authored the Code of Conduct. But it was written to deal with a purely sociopathic loud mouthed asshole. Never heard him use a racist comment even when he was arguing with a Muslim member.

I authored it but the executive brought it in after the clubs lawyer said it would be a good idea.

I have my right to free speech. If I don't like racist speech do I not have the right to speak up about it? Or because I disagree with hate speech I should not be allowed to speak. Works both ways.

But I can go on about racists with zero repercussions. Using racist speech does have repercussions. I can get on a soap box and talk about tolerance, inclusiveness and peace and draw a cheering crowd. Someone gets on a soapbox and talks about filthy n......, Muslims or Jews and they will get a brick tossed at them. Likely to find themselves in jail up here too.

And why is that? Please explain to me why the different reactions. Why is peace, love and truth met with usually cheers and hate and lies met with jeers and flying bricks?

You 'free speechers' are so fucking two faced. Free speech is fine as long as you are being agreed with. But as soon as someone calls you out on it you demand they shut up or start a smear campaign.

Free speech right! Just as long as it agrees with you. I'm not hiding behind empty words. I don't think you have the right to spread lies and hatred. You fucks want your cake and eat it too.

Canada is 80% white. The US 77%. 3% is not that much of a difference. You have a porous southern border and a greater ex-slave population so that would be expected. Still 3% is not much. Considering our secure border and lack of a large ex-slave population we could be like 98% white if we chose.

And by the way, 'justice' took a long detour around Native issues. We seriously need work on those issues. We treat natives like Yanks treat blacks, if not worse.

And seriously Klan and Nazis are not allowed to march up here. No municipality would issue them a permit to demonstrate or march. It endangers public peace. POGG. I doubt even those on the other end of the political spectrum from me would allow Nazis and Klan to march down their streets.

- but make no mistake: he's definitely a racist or a biggot when it comes to issues that affect His daily life.

For example: Ever paid attention to the manner in which he referred to canadian immigrants from certain countries? Or how he generalised about russian women? He keeps his mouth shut around me now. Also keeps his mouth shut when he ran for a position on the executive. I should have began a slur campaign against him to make sure he was not elected but that may not have been quite right. The worst thing is he started a youth committee. I hate the fact that such a person has any interaction with young folk.

A few years back an old German fellow was asked not to return to the club due to his use of the N word at every opportunity. Another old German guy at the club is a bit quieter in mixed company about it but he hates blacks and Muslims. And his old man was a Sturbannfuhrer in the S.D. during WWII. The guy I am referring to is also a German immigrant.

If I applied the stereotyping paintbrush that racists, xenophobes and haters use I could get away with saying all Germans are Nazi racist considering my actual interactions with Germans I know personally.

What's strange is we have no black members. So it is for no reason at all that the N word should even get used. Two Jews, one Asian and half a dozen Muslims. Out of 250 memberships.

Maybe we should ban Germans from our club. They are proven Hitler lovers and racists.

The demographics of my part of the country are overwhelmingly white. My rural high school had 1 Asian girl and 1-3 blacks in the 4 years I was there. London has 16% of it's population as visible minority. Most are Arabic. It is only in the last few years that ME folk have showed up in town.

Which is why racism is so stupid around here. When you chances are have never interacted with blacks and they do not form a large part of the poor population (crime is as socio-economic issue not race) you have zero reason, even stupid ones, to be racist.

Just ask Conager he will tell you we are mostly white up here.

Sometimes it's deliberate (JBJ and RDS being the perfect examples) but other times it's just about the fact that some libs. confuse terms.


There's a difference between someone who's prejudiced (we all are, to one degree or another, and that comes in different degrees too) and someone who acts in certain ways. (racism).

Plus many europeans were quite open towards reffugees from Africa or the Middle East, until their nomber passed 1 million which meant competition for jobs or tax payer's money poured into benefits.
Cut throat and non- altruistic attitude on their part, but it was more related to their survival instinct. (of course, for some it was more about racism, but not for all)
Same happened with danish and even brittish immigrants (who are white) in Australasia, when they started to immigrate in much larger nombers.

If you want to talk about racism, the colonialist (often patronising) attitude that one comes across at times, in US and Commonwealth territories is a much better example.
