Thing is, in this exchange USA has a lot more worldwide support, so they can be more rash in their statements. Don't think that Russia doesn't do the same though, when it feels it can get away with it. It's a game that never ends.

And Yes, he may look like a moron for saying things like that. But in the end of the day it doesn't really matter, because everything will forget about it in a week, but everyone will remember how Russia bombed hospitals for a loong loooong time, even if there was none bombed. He sacrafices a little bit to gain a lot. It doesn't even matter if he tells you the TRUTH. It's important that he sends a message and plants ideas in your mind.

That's press for you. You really can't trust it, but the thing is that even if you don't, so long as you watch it you will get a certain picture formed in your mind. Is that picture always true?
