"Le Pen : anti-establishment sentiment has been gaining ground worldwide

The rebranding of fascism as "anti-establishment" has been interesting to watch.

Well, I was quite confused about many things just like most people, but Mark Blyth seems to give a pretty good explanation of the events since ww2.

Pitty that, (despite his more confrontational style) underguy's attempt to engage posters in a discussion of Blyth's interview got drowned in the typical political fights in the GB.

You're on a computer talking to people in different parts of the world, I could be wrong, but isn't that the definition of globalism?

You again lol.

Globalism is a good thing and it's inevitable, but unfortunately it happened under the umbrella of neoliberalism, which is crony capitalism in the service of Banks, and which also ended sabotaging itself.

BTW: In his youtube talk, Mark Blyth was critical of both the resurgence of nationalist parties and possibly fascism, as well as the neoliberalist globalist era that preceded it.

Again, I have to stop you, only liberals wanted bigger and more powerful banks?

Look, I never claimed that my political and economical understanding of events or skills are stellar.
On the contrary. My skills lie in other (more humanistic) areas.

So engaging in these sorts of debates will only make me look like a fool.

I'm just trying to suggest to people to read Mike Blyth's interview or article and comment on these.
As underguy suggested.

Btw Rob.
