How did you spend yours?

Writing smut, rolling dice, having sex and listening to a whole box set of Eagles records. Much less succinct than Harold's, but yeah, that's the highlight reel of my last weekend. :)

Weekend? There was a weekend? You expect me to remember that far back? I recall yesterday because it was my birthday and I had celebratory porridge. But the weekend? Fuck, I didn't take notes. Maybe it that erosion control stuff. Maybe it was chasing the bear away. (The puma didn't come around.) Oh yeah, we stopped for lunch at the nearest taco truck. And there was a volcano somewhere. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Singing, writing, reviewing, editing, raking leaves, watching football games, three goes at Masterpiece Theater, laughing at deplorables opening their eyes. The usual.

I trust you'll excuse my bit of patriotism ?

The best Flying Display team in the World.!

Or just look at Wiki:
See HERE.
They are very. very good. I remember an open house at RAF Woodbridge where they were closer to on time and "on target" better than the four-ship from our wing opening the show from RAF Bentwaters!

The Red Arrows were scheduled for 1400 and as my second hand hit 1400:00 nine pitot tubes crossed the centerline of the runway at RAF Woodbridge and the show began. (The lanes they flew then had the static air sensor aka Pitot Tube on a boom at the nose of the aircraft.)

PS: Unfortunately the Red Arrows (nor Canadian Snowbirds, nor Blue
Angels were not at this year's Aviation Nation although all have participated in past editions.)

I think the 'arrows are in foreign parts at present.

Seems like I remember them in sixties, flying Hawker Hunters. Very impressive.

I have an old Biggles book where he flies a Hawker Hunter. Now I'm going to have to go look them up. Curiosity.....

Okay, another weekend has passed. (It's now Monday morning in California.) Saturday we rolled down the mountain to acquire more erosion-control materials, drugs, and taco-truck delights. Sunday we sat out the rain hoping the previous erosion-control efforts worked. We look forward to next weekend, recovering from the T-Day feast our ex-celeb-chef son-in-law will bestow upon us, and doing more erosion control. Then we'll go somewhere.

There really should be an emoticon for Cold & Rain.
or Very Cold & Wet.
or sitting in a cold & draughty classroom all day.

Ah well, there's always next one . . . .

PS Hawker Hunter ?
Chloe, do you mean the Black Arrows ?
Magic on two wings. . . .
