I have a PS4 and I am rebuilding my PC, but 90% of the time I am on my MacAir.

Looking at Dragon Age:Inquisition, DragonAge 2, Grand Theft Auto V and maybe The Last of Us Remastered. I have been playing FPS in the form pf COD almost exclusively on the PS4, but played DA:Origins on my mac.

Looking for counsel, advice and guidance on an RPG for the Mac.

For the Macbook Air? It runs Intel graphics, so you can't reallty do anything too tough on it.

Would an old school Western RPG be your kinda game? I'd recommend Pillars of Eternity, or Divinity: Original Sin. Both should run fine.

I used to write games, which was much more fun than playing them.

Game-writing is a hot medium. Game-playing is a cool medium. Cf McLuhan.

It depends on the level of involvement we demand. I want more.

eh, i dont play many games on the macs I have even though they are my main machines

Steam doesnt have many mac games and i am not going to purchase games just for the macs - as I am already buying the pc, ps4, and xb1 versions already

i will use the PS4 app to stream the games as it will allow me to use the controller on here

DA:2 sucks bro. DA Inquisition is a fairly long game, but it's not a deep RPG. if you haven't played it, Witcher 3 is the best RPG made so far. deep game, great story, immersive, and with all expansions it has over 200 hours of gameplay bro.

Yeah, but his Macbook will melt.

Thanks for the good info. Looks like I am going to have to get the PC fixed.

Is everyone/anyone using Windows 10 and finding it runs the game ok?

I was going to suggest The Witcher 3. I'm waiting for my 4k monitor to play it though, I just upgraded my entire pc.

And I have been running Windows 10 the past few years no problem running a ton of games. I'm sorry I don't have any advice about using games with a Mac though.

My rig is about 3 yrs old so new mobo, chip and video card may be in order. Will get what I have running first and see. Was not thinking about a 4k monitor but maybe that will have to be the xmas gift to self this year.

Thanks for the votes on Witcher 3. Will definitely be getting it.

You should start from scratch. I wouldn't worry about the 4k monitor yet though, but get a decent one. Add me to Skype if you want to chat about computer specs.

DA2 was an awesome game

Newer games are awe-inspiring, but I have no time. Got an Nvidia Shield to run all my emulators, and a few vintage coin-op machines for the authentic fun.

The little retro NES looks pretty nifty, but I've got over 1k games on my rig, so I'm good.

I have been archiving ROMs since '96 or '97. I have sorted and resorted my collection for every system from the Astrocade to the 3DS and hunting down new proto or lost ROMS. Last year I built a vertical MAME machine and a horizontal MAME machine.

I have a Shield, but prefer the Raspberry Pi 3 with Retropie that I put into an original Gameboy with a new LCD to run emulators bro.

OK, I'm not a gamer. Why would anyone own a Mac? They seem to underperform every thing on the market. I don't know. I've never owned a Mac. All my kids have IPhones.. They just seem like a real pain and hassle.

for me, every interior became repetitive and the story was boring. DA:Origins with all the DLC and expansions was a much better flowing story and much deeper bro.

all of that means nothing when Fenris is on the screen
