A settlement is the easy (i.e., cheapest) way out which is why tort reform is in order, but the DNC trial lawyer lobby will not allow that to happen; too much money to be made by suing rich people. He talks a lot of racist stuff but his actions don't necessarily show him to be a racist. Even in the fluffy stuff that he engaged in (the 'Apprentice' and other reality shows) he didn't care about race or gender.

The reverse seems to apply to Hillary and the other Dems. They use the right rhetoric pretending to be advocates for minority groups or so on, but their actions don't allign with their talk.

I don't necessarily equate prejudice with racism.

We're all prejudiced and form certain stereotypes in order to guide our initial interactions with people, just like with everything else; it's just a survival mechanism.

I, just like everybody else had good as well as bad personal experiences with certain groups (be they religious, ethnic, political and regardless of continent). So I harbour positive or negative biases towards certain groups of people, and I'm either more trustful or more cautious during my initial interactions with them, in order not to get hurt or harmed again.
But once I get to know that person and realise that they are ok: I toss out all my preconceived ideas.

Racism means acting on those prejudices and deliberately trying to do harm to those groups that one harbours some prejudice against.


GB progressives confuse the two notions, just like they confuse several other things.
