I have been toying with this for months but can't develop it to a specific plot or even category- is it incest? school setting? babysitter? girl next door? something totally different?

The simple kernel is that Daisy has dressed goth since before puberty.

The morning of her 18th birthday, like a butterfly, she emerges- dressed in a sexy outfit, hair a natural colour and brushed loose down her back (or in curls?), curvaceous body revealed....

(in some versions, I think there are a group of these girls...)

I like this idea. I had a Goth phase and still love the look and especially CyberGoth and Steampunk.

And boys. Let's not be sexist, now. Goth.bois transform into sleek lotharios and/or sweet sissies at 18. For fun, our focus is on fraternal twins Val and Velma and their 18th coming-out party. Who swarms around them? Who falls victim?

hmmm, on the one hand...i find goth girls sexy...on the other, i like this idea quite a bit.

Though, maybe a more gradual transition.

For example, goth girl goes away for the summer. She can't afford to bring or buy all the make up she needs so she slowly lets the dye grow out and wears more colors since black is too unbearable. She picks up a tan and gets a work out over the summer so she's toned and her pudgy bits get tightened so she goes from luscious to curvy. She comes back for her senior year and...

1. Nobody recognizes her. Freed of her previous persona, she can slink in and out of the social circles she used to be a hermit from. People do know who she is but the new look startles everyone. She plays around, has sex with anyone she wants, and has a great ole time.

2. Reconnects with old friends. She's only been able to call her gal pal during the summer and she's never been a selfie taker so her facebook profile looks the same. She gets home and wants to reconnect so she calls her goth friend up. Friend arrives and is shocked. While she isn't hateful over the change she is surprised to see her friend look like that. Our lead assures her she is still the same person, with the same likes, she just wants to try a more natural look for right now.

Friend is stunned but tries to be supportive, asking about her tan since it's a big change. Our lead laughs and assures her that it's a full body tan and invites her to see for herself. Friend laughs but then realizes that she's being serious. Turns out it's not just a makeover, our girl is now very comfortable with expressing herself, especially to the cute goth friend she used to be too nervous to confess her feelings about.

3. Hangs out with the family. outside of one or two memebers of the family, nobody knws about the transformation. She heads out and gets hit on by some relatives. She decides to play along and see how far they'll go...turns out, pretty far.

Interesting. Where does she encounter the kin? I visualize a neighborhood picnic at a local park. The relatives who know of her change aren't there, and the others think she's some neighbor girl and thus an open target.

This assumes she had no old social circle, at least nobody who would really miss her. It also assumes a mega-school; many could go unnoticed by non-intersecting cliques and clusters. Maybe a wild aunt helped with her sleek new look and more sophisticated behavior -- and taught her girl-girl love. She slices through her new social circle like a knife through butter, seducing one and all, breaking every heart.

Could she go all high maintenance. ..gold jewellery. ..heels ...long nails?
And thus work her way into a catty clique of rich bitches? Does she snag a varsity fullback for status, or a country-club scion to buy her fancy ornaments? Does she present herself as a woman of mystery?

Some neighborhood gathering. Cousins uncles/aunts see her and feel a real pull towards her. Possibly estranged siblings but that might be too much of a push.

You'd be surprised. I was in a class of 40 and left with several of them for a different high school...nobody noticed I had left when I visited for a game almost a year later.

Such feature in many LIT stories. But not mine, yet. I have no IRL experience with such so I'd have to just fake it, build on stereotypes, write a sleazy stroker.

Let's see: the elite clique at Piedmont High circa 1995 are daughters of local lawyers and politicians. Former anon-hermit goth-girl Glacé (her mother is on City Council so she's OK) stayed with bi-wild aunt Scylla over the summer learning sophistication as well as gaining a tanned, toned, killer body -- and a trained tongue. Scylla loaned Glacé her extra Porsche and fancy jewelry for the term. Glacé works her way orally through the elite clique and their supposed boy- and girl-friends -- and expects the same treatment in return. Soon they're all wearing her slave tattoos. Fun fun fun.

For more fun, flip the paradigm. Glacé is male and the elite clique are gay.bois. Right.

I think the cause of such a transformation is obvious: She got fucked really, really well, and now life is all roses and rainbows and unicorns and sunshine. She can't maintain her gloomy goth persona anymore.

Ah, but she stays Goth inside. Her new self is merely an act, a manipulation of quotidian suckers. They're so easy! A political career looms in her future.

I was a Goth through my teens, had dreadlocks, went to the full extent. I transformed I suppose she I was 18/19. Still wear a few things to cling back to the Goth days. Incest is not a good way to go but personally that's because I think it's weird, maybe the prom night thing works, I still dressed Goth at my prom, but I changed my image to give my man other things to look at. I love Goth but dress to impress when showing off, especially when you want a certain outcome.
