The stock Dodge Omni was surprisingly interesting. The lovely mother of my children own one when I met her. Turns out the block is straight out of Volkswagen with Dodge peripheral hung on it. I think it was 2.4 litres which was bigger than the block when it existed in the Volkswagen Scirocco so guys were taking that block and dumping it in a Scirocco and going to the races.

Dodge had a little El Camino version of that car I forget what it was called and I have no idea why it would perform so well but for some reason that was the skidpad champ that year for handling.
