GB Women who voted for President Elect Trump

political stances were one of the first things H and i discussed when finding out about one another - then religion...

i think you can be friends with people who don't share the same core beliefs as yourself, even love them, but to live with them? that'd be too hard

People dont talk about it because they know it would cause arguments and friendships.

That does not mean for one second that it's not important to know what someones ideology is on certain issues, and who they would vote for.

People dont talk about it because they are afraid. Afraid to know, or lose.....Love.

I dont need to be loved. I dont need to belong.

I talk about it with certain friends and family mostly, and a handful here who are helpful and patient as fuck. It's ok to disagree. It's not that I'm scared to discuss politics, it's just finding the right person at the right time.

I don't believe I have ever heard a liberal or Democrat use the terms "off the reservation or on the plantation." Such terms are kinda steeped in racism which is why the Right likes to use them. The worst I've heard was Biden a few years back saying "They want to put you back in chains" and he DID catch the appropriate amount of flak for that incredibly stupid and bigotted statement.

As for tolerance and inclusion I really would love it Conservatives would stop equating not hating or punishing you (often with the law) for things you cannot fix. Redlinging housing to keep minorities out (which a bank just a few years ago was fined for doing because that shit still happens. And probably more than anybody wants to admit because it's hard to prove) of certain communities is wrong. Keeping gays from marrying is wrong. Taking away a woman's right to control her own body is wrong. There is a difference between hating someone for their race, sexual preference or to SOME extent their religion and calling people out for dumb behavior.

Maybe a Trump presidency won't be so bad. Maybe he doesn't appoint 3 judges and get rid of Roe v Wade. Maybe he doesn't shut down the EPA. Maybe he does.

That doesn't matter.

People who voted for Trump are saddled with a lot of his baggage.

Im sorry.

They just are.

No need to apologise. I won't be saddling anyone with anything. You can vote for the Steaming Pile Of Dicks Party and I'd be cool.

Why are you blaming women?

It was a shitty night, and we'll all end up being losers for it, but women don't hold any particular blame for it.

That being said.....You girls have made me feel a bit better and for that I thank you really.

This is a challenge for me. For a lot of people.

I know I've ...IDK. Made a fucked thread.

I appreciate the humor and, stuff.

The patience and e-sortof-friendship.

Because you have a brain and realize that the world is made up of diverse, individuals who have all kinds of reasons for doing things that you may or may not agree with.

There is no voter's vote I love to cancel more than your vote.

Congratulations on the win, Mona.

You are the sexiest deplorable ever.

Nope, we're not all going to saddle Hillary's loss on Aqua, Mona and whoever. Deal.

I dont saddle them with her loss.

It's just hard for me to get around people I know voting for this turd.

Im actually stunned.

Trust me you would be too if you lived here.

You'd be just as confused as I am.

I've always thought Yanks act very histrionically when it comes to politics. We really only reach that level of vitriol over tea matters. ;)

~wade garret voice~

They don't call us "yanks" for nuthin', ma'am.

<makes masturbatory gesture>

Just watched a special election edition of The Last Leg and they've had a band of Mexicans on singing Wonderwall. :D
