The 2016 Presidential Election Results Thread

Well to make everybody rest easy, the world doesn't need to worry about Trump tweets after tonight.

I'm sure he'll dismantle Twitter within 16mos. :D

I hope the political establishment is scared, both sides.
Fuck those motherfuckers!

This mofo ain't over yet folks.

Trump still needs either Michigan, New Hampshire, or Pennsylvania. They are all neck in neck. If Hill can pull off all three she wins.

Quoted from another...

"All jokes aside can you imagine being her right now? 30+ yrs as a career politician. THIRTY YEARS of grooming and dealing and manuvering just to lose it all in the last year to an orange orangutan. It's really quite amazing."

Sure it's not over, but long vote counts favor the GOP in PA and WI because the rural areas are Republican with older vote tabulation systems relative to the ethnically diverse cities.

This is where I admit that I was wrong to criticize the La Times/ USC poll as an outlier. Obviously it was more accurate than everything else.

If I were her, I'd be planning to re-locate to another country before I got locked up.

In the words of the Libertarian Party Chairman, in response to a recrimination- "they ( Democrats ) should have picked a less shitty candidate.

Hillary and Snowden sittin' in a tree.....:D

How close is it?

PBS is currently reporting that with 79% of the national vote now reported, Trump leads Clinton 53,303,529 - 52,956,212, which equals a 347,317 vote difference, or roughly a strong gate at the Indianapolis 500.

Hi

Hi everyone. Does anyone think it's a bit like brexit in the uk. A bit of a protest vote against the people at the top not listening to the working class people who are the bread and butter of every country. ?

In the way that the main motivator was racist fuckstickery, yes.

Hi

The U.K. Is a small island. We struggle to look after our own people. The 16 million who voted to leave Europe are not racist. They just know that the island is full. Not enough people putting in the system and to many taking out

Is the island going to sink or something?

The only person tonight I am POSITIVE there is not a chance of self reflection is Hillarity. And it's closer to forty years, remember she was in the White House almost 20yrs before Slick Willy. And since then her 30+ years of "public service" has been dedicated to nothing else but making the public service her. And the public, after all this bullshit, recognized her and called her on it. Finally.

I have problems with Newt Gringrich as SECSTATE, but he brought in the Baltic States into NATO, and brokered deals between Canada, England & France to have speedbump troops in Latvia, Estonia & Lithuania to forego any further Russian/Putin expansion.

That alone was a BIG signal to me that the sun will still rise tomorrow :D

It's over, folks. With 98% reporting in PA, Trump has increased his lead to 60K+ votes, a full % point over Clinton. That would put him at 264 electoral votes, with only 6 needed to win.

It's over, folks.

Well, guys, it has been fun.

Time to return to lurk mode.

How are you protesting the top by giving them even more power? Who knows what this will change, if anything, for most. In all probability, and despite the hyperbole that follows, it won't be much. The world turns, in spite of the fact that most Americans are now demonstrably, provably, fuckwits.

For me, I can assume that by mid 2017 I will no longer have healthcare, a minimum wage, or any real hope but to join the Imperial Army under Darth Trump. Heil Scroob! (And bonus points to those who get the reference.)

Make America Hate Again!

I haven't been this disappointed in my country... ever. Seriously, it's like watching a train wreck, in super slo-mo, from on board the train. With no way off.

Oh well, all we can do is wake up tomorrow and go about our lives. At the end of the day it is what it is. The sun will still come up. It might be from the nuclear bombs we've dropped because some head of state somewhere claimed to have a bigger dick than Tiny Donny, but some form of sun will be there. And my bills ain't payin' themselves, especially now.

All joking aside, I can't wait to see the stock market reactions to this news tomorrow. I'm keeping the popcorn ready, should make a roller-coaster look like a carefully graded drive. But in the long run, it's still just an American Plutocrat. We were getting one of those either way.

Most have Trump currently with 244 electoral votes and Clinton with 215.

Trump is leading as these 4 states

PA = 20 electoral votes
MI = 16 electoral votes
AZ = 11 electoral votes
WI = 10 electoral votes

That's 57 votes.

244 + 57 = 301 electoral votes
