Toy Design Challenge

Hello everyone!

SO here goes... I've got a design challenge for ll of you here on LIT! I've een working with some pretty high quality 3D printers and I would like your input and expertise to come up with a few designs.

I've made glass dildos before in the past and have a couple "wood" prototypes in the past but I would like use this forum as a jumping off point or collaboration.

I am interested in anything you may know on the subject, what you "like" female or male what are the specific features of your toys and how would you make the perfect toy!

There are no wrong answers here no judgement this is an open opportunity to show and tell what works!

I will use the input from you all to create something real! I have the technology to make these rigid or rubber silicon etc.

In return if you want I can send them out for your testing and feedback.

To show I am serious I use a program called Rhino and Solidworks for 3D Modeling and have access to a Dimension 1200es and a Objet 24.

The biggest "problem" is those pieces look to "nice" to be toys, & are art!!!

Hmm, I'm more of a vibrator fan myself. It's pretty rare that I'd use a toy that didn't incorporate a vibe. About the only design that would interest me would be a slender wand with ridges all along it. Like, 1/2" at the thinnest spots and 1" at the thickest spots (diameter). Maybe purple, although the color doesn't really matter all that much.

I've occasionally pondered the concept of water-inflatable rubber toys, but they must be difficult to produce or risky to use, otherwise some would be available on the market.

Wife and I were just talking the other night about toys we wish they made and one idea we had was a twist on double headed dildo, one end is similar to a flashlight and other end is a dildo so both can lay there and use it while getting off together.

Here's what I think:
The texture of the suction cups is too extreme. It will take much effort to make the dildo glide smoothly even with lots of lube. The tentacle is realistic looking, but the tapered tip cannot stimulate the G- or P-spot properly.

Maybe you can smooth up the suction cups somewhat: less flare and shallower (for example, the ones on Bad Dragon's The Tentacle https://bad-dragon.com/images/inventorytoys/c6d8b4cee889f51c390861222319ef1a.JPG). It would also be nice to make a bulgy, rolled-up tip, and add a slight curve to the shaft. Lastly, you cannot make the silicone too flexible, or else, it's not easy to thrust the dildo efficiently.

That looks dangerous. Surely you've seen someone who was goofing around and got a drinking glass stuck to their face or hand, and after they managed to get it off there was a big bruise? Any kind of concave toy could do that, internally. Owie.

I like the narrow necks; they prevent the plugs from slipping out.

Ever thought of designing a butt plug with a nice curvature similar to the njoy Pure Plugs? A tilted tip will work so much better on the prostate.

oh nice, I've seen these before! I will see if I can work that into a design, I was wondering about the ribbed sections. Is the ribbing something people look for or just the super smooth?

I'm planning on making these out of crystal clear acrylic and embedding items in the center of the bulbous part.

Sex toy design

I can tell you what a LOT of people look for in sex toy design and that is HANDS FREE OPERATION. Suction cup dildos can be major fun because you can stick them somewhere and ride them hands free until you can't stand it anymore. Or, maybe incorporate some sort of adapter so the sex toy could have a base of some sort added or removed quickly and easily.

I also would push you think big. There is ano appeal to having toys beyond normal dick size.

To be honest, I don't like ribs on anal toys because the rectal walls are very sensitive and thin. Yet, the ribbings shown in your attachments seemed insignificant and probably wouldn't traumatize the delicate rectal walls. I will not purchase an anal plug with dense ribbings (like the one on the left) because it is difficult to remove the grime in-between the ribbings.

I like the idea of suction cups but do you think a suction cup on a anal toy would be very functional? I've seen them for dildos which could be used for either place.

SOOOOOO. I did go ahead and printed one of the smooth designs, it turned out a bit larger than I thought it was going to be. lol. Check out the photos, currently the surface is a bit textured from the 3D printing process. I will follow up with a super smooth finish and make a mold then I can begin casting various plastics into it.

Your plug looks nice. I have another suggestion, though. Try to make one with a narrow boat-shaped base with tapered ends (check out the base of the Mood Naughty plug). It won't cause any chafing and hides comfortably between the cheeks.
