1) the world is currently corrupt as all fuck, Clinton is the face of this shit and it needs a good burn.

2) His misogyny, racism, xenophobia and narcissism are of no real consequence to me.

3) At the very very least he just might reduce the amount of money I'm forced to give Democrats for broken bullshit scams that do nothing for me, like ACA.

You own "wanting to shake things up". You also own voting for overt racism, overt misogyny, overt incompetence, overt lies, and overt dismissal of facts. He doesn't just represent these things - he's run his entire platform on them.

You do not get to separate. You will have to answer for them all. If someone calls you a racist in the future and you deny it, they will have perfectly-valid leverage on you.

As for the "B..b..but Hillary" retort, I am fine owning her flaws as candidate. Trump's are worse, no matter how much spin people do. Period. :cool:

Couldn't agree more. Hitlery is more corrupt than corrupt Dan in sleazeville on a particularly sleazy day. But Trump is soon poor for the job that he may just do well in an odd kind of way.
I'm in Scotland so am watching this mess from afar.

Yes, Trump's election platform is one of racism, xenophobia, and misogyny. In no uncertain terms. That's agreed upon by Dems and Republicans.

Hillary's is more or less a platform of politics as usual.

If you vote for a candidate, you own the platform: they are the ideals, and you're saying you stand for them. You will see very soon how you're held accountable for that choice, as this election will leave brands on voters. "I did it for the chaos" won't work. "I'm doing it because I hate Hillary" never has.

I suspect Trump will gather quite a bit of votes from the "bitter clinger" aging white male demographic here. He's done quite well appealing to their sense of fear.

If Democrats don't get the Senate in this race, they won't have a chance in 2018.
 
Hillary Clinton will do as fine as the Congress lets her. Give her a Democratic Senate, or, better yet, Democratic control of both houses, and you'll see a whole lot of change for the better. The reason for this is that it's the Congress that's been in the way. Change that and change that suits this century will happen--even to the betterment of conservatives, as she's no more liberal than Obama and isn't as far to the left as Sanders--or even Trump, for that matter, when he's not trying to sell his deplorables a bill of goods. She's been through the battles enough to have a pretty good idea how far she can go in anything while getting something, at least, done for the needs of society in the twenty-first century. That's something that even Obama hasn't been able to do very well.

I'm sure that there will remain a large percentage of half-baked, screamy Chicken Littles posting to this forum, but this hardly reflects the population of the States at large, and, if they've got to yammer crazily, it's just as well that they are doing it impotently on a porn discussion board.
