I was flipping through the channels last night and happened to come across an old standup performance by Chris Rock.

You're either married at home and wanting to kill your spouse, or single and wanting to kill yourself.

Which is worse?

The grass is always greener.

I enjoy being single, and I can't say I've ever wanted to kill myself because of it.

I've been pretty unhappy with my spouse, never wanted to kill her.

Now "bored", that's a different story.

Even when I hated my (first) husband I was never bored. When I was single I loved it and never wanted to kill myself.

So. It's all a lie.

Being in a relationship is always better. Some degree of social support is always good.
But not when they get fed up with you or start getting distant.

The only time I was ever lonely single was when I was a teenager.

But I was sporadically suicidal and homicidal in both my marriages. I fully understand those crime scenes where everyone in the house is dead and nobody came in from outside.:eek:

He also said that men are only as loyal as their options.

Sadly not surprising.

Well that's life, and I've been on both the receiving and on the giving end.

Want me to act like I'm some sort of femme fatale and say that I was never dumped or so on? That would be absolutely ridiculous.

no wonder bro.

Stew

Nope. You ain't perceptive. At all.
Do you think that A lot of us act IRL in the crazy or stupid manner that we act here on a porn board?
This online world is wishful thinking and fantasy and entertainment and ain't real, hun, and in fact I'm pretty lineant and easy going IRL. Shocker, isn't it? Or maybe I'm deluded.

My hunch is that they got fed up with doing all the organising for me (I'm pretty disorganised in my private life like that) and that I got fat so the grass was greener on the other side.
