On a serious note: people have different temperaments and therefore they prefer different types of learning.
You, being quite introverted prefer to learn through observation. Those who are a bit more extroverted generally prefer the 'trial and error' type of learning.

Even 'trial and error' folks can know when it makes sense to shut the fuck up and just observe for a while. One style of learning doesn't mean that the other isn't possible, particularly when it becomes blindingly obvious that one method may not be working out so well. Sometimes adjustments are needed to fit the situation.

When one lands in the middle of the "racist and female impersonators hunting", one starts thinking that there must be something wrong with them. Or that the GB regulars are xenophobic and malicious people who come up with all sorts of lies in order to chase newcomers or foreigners off the board.

The only thing in any way similar is that he is giving you an honest, frank, assessment of your behavior and how that impacts your experience here.

Just because the truth makes you uncomfortable does not make it trolling. Actual trolling gets you off. Both you trolling other people and other people insulting you.
