I really like the pose and expression, they tell a good story. But pretty much the same thoughts as your "Redhead on Bed"...this digital technique seems too uniform in skin tone/texture. I think you have the hard part down in working out the poses. Seems like different digital painting techniques is the thing you're playing around with now. Are these actual photos transformed through a digital "filter", or are they manually "drawn" with the program you are using?

They are manually drawn on my Android tablet using Autodesk Sketchbook and then finished in PicsArt. I use existing photos or composites of existing photos as a reference for the poses and proportions.

You're right, I'm playing around with different coloring and shading techniques. I'm trying to find an approach that looks good that I can compete quickly. Photorealism isn't necessarily my goal but yes, I do struggle with the shading.

Thanks for sharing your "trade secrets". Now I'm even more impressed with your talent. I've toyed with the idea of getting a digital sketchpad, but I doubt I have the patience for it.

I've toyed with the idea of getting a proper WaComm tablet as well but the cost of entry is awfully high and I don't typically do my drawing seated at a computer. I much prefer the freedom of my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet. The programs I use are good enough for my amateur skill level.
