The Living Works of Art Challenge

Ares, the god of war, is still sitting in the locker room weeks after combat (i.e., the regular baseball season) has ended. He sulks in disbelief: "We are not in the play-offs, but the Cubs are in the play-offs. The Cubs!? How can this be?" He will sulk through the winter months and finally dress again when it is time to put on his uniform in the Spring. Until then, his mental wounds leave him naked before his enemies, and his feet vulnerable to athletes' foot.

Ah, there's always next year. Nice job.

Excellent work on the fabric folds and a strategically placed knife - as classy as ever, JRP!

Brilliant, Mr G!

Ooooooooooo, love it, sir you have the greatest legs!! *whistles*

Thank you Tali, you're welcome to come by and massage them any time you like!

Fantastic.
Dressing shed after the game?
I have a thing for cricketers.

I'll be there - do you want me to start off with the full whites? :D Thank you Icy! :rose:

Another sport star. Hope your team had a better season than mine.;)

Not this year, sadly!

Very well posed, H.

Thank you, JRP!

Since I was asked, here's the front view. What? you were expecting . . . more? Sorry, feeling a little modest tonight.

Ares Ludovisi:
Lovely renditions JR. You do modest well. I hope you handled that knife with care.

If I may suggest another translation, "The Age of Bronze" in French might have meant something more like "The Time of Bronzage," which refers to "tanning." In my rendition, the young man (use your imagination) is startled to find that he has spent too much time tanning--but only the one side because he naughtily prefers to show the beach-goers that side.

You are a delight. Loved all your interpretations.

Still way behind schedule, here I give you Poseidon of Melos. Either that or some creepy old fart in the sauna. (And once again thanks to Icy for the cosmetic upgrade)
You are quite worth the wait. If you were the creepy old fart, I would be gladly visiting that sauna.

Sneaking in just before the deadline:

...here is my Age of Bronze

(Otherwise known as The Naked Cricketer :D)

H.... *sigh*... you ... yeah nicely done.

...here is my Age of Bronze

Oh my MY... Particularly enjoying your left hand/arm/shoulder here. And always, the legs...

Ares Ludovisi:

Wow, JRP, that's a stunner. Those hands. Those arms. And regal carriage, to boot.
Well done!

Awww, bless his heart! You've done it again, glendale. Such a creative spin.

Sigh... Now this showcases your legs so nicely. Wonderful! :rose::kiss:

Welcome, glad to have a new model. Some of these are trickier than they look, eh? Nice first attempt. I'm sure the ladies will be along soon to show their appreciation.

The Curator.

Ah, there's always next year. Nice job.

And I know that's there's always next week from you. Thanks.:rose:

Brilliant, Mr G!

I appreciate the compliments from fellow statues.:rose:

You've done it to me again too, so thanks.

The back view, yes, there's that classic triangle again, mmm. But the front view... *sigh* what a fabulous tease!

Very inventive, Mr G, I always love your interpretations. A quick spray tan will sort out that untanned side, since it seems a shame to deprive your beach-going audience of the treats of the other side ;)

My take on Age of Bronze pose:

Age of Bronze 1

Age of Bronze 2

Perfect pose, CJ, and you have such a cute bum.

Exactly what I'd like to find in the sauna. That under-towel, er, 'profile', *swoons*

Well, I'm glad you're sitting quietly with that huge knife  This shows off your musculature very nicely, JRP.

Oh, no sulking, Ares. Winter training, I think, to prepare for next season. Nude, of course... *sneaks into the gym*

Thank you so much, Lizzie.:rose: Yep, no cuts here.

Glad you like it Mara. Not sure which part is my "carriage," but any time you want to see my "boot," just ask.:D
