Spam Private Messages?

I may get one of those "water - wet" comments, but has anyone received spam Private Messages from folks with zero posts? Just got a message that had the same language patterns as the Nigerian fraud emails.

I have gotten a lot of messages recently from posters with 0 posts. Don't have links, seem more "personal" commenting on my banana, etc. but I don't answer PMs with 0 posts, so I just let them lie.

Luckily these messages seem to be missing me. Totally fine by me. I'm with Con tho, I'd start messing with them to waste their time. Maybe Primalex could convince them to send HIM money?

I've been getting those messages for the last two weeks. I don't bother responding to them OR deleting them. That's because they disappear from my inbox within 24 hours of receipt. For that reason, I figure the best response is to just ignore them. If one of those messages ever survives more than 24 hours in my inbox, then I'll take action.

I've heard from several lately...seems to be a rash of spammers and bots on the boards lately. Some target women, some target men.
I'm with BFG. Report to Laurel or other mod to get them blocked. Make their lives a smidge more difficult.

There is also a thread on the GB for reporting them.

You wouldn't have the link to that thread, would you? There are 45 pages of threads on the GB and it's not in the sticky section. If you don't, no problem. I'll just let that latest piece of spam expire tomorrow.

I kid I kid. I actually have been hit up by two just recently myself. But they disappeared out of my inbox, leading me to believe those profiles went ~poof~ too.

Speak of the devil.... Just got this one this morning and had I not been able to see what was in it from the email notification, I would have never known I got it because the account was whisked away before I even knew I had one.

Third message I got, from third different account. All saying same thing, and I quote:

"I looked your comment. Y0u interested me. We will get acquainted? P.S. My photo/videos you will find in my bio ;-)"

Oy.
