During the drive home last night I listened to an interview about locker room talk. Some expert was talking about how locker room talk is learned in the home. Dad does it, mom does not rebuke him for it. Boys are taught to be jerks and girls are tough to be doormats.

Donald got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. His team rallied at the plaza and formulated a way out, a way to spin it, cover it up, soften it, or make it go bye bye. Locker room talk was the term chosen to describe a physical act. The allegations had little to do with words and much more to do with the act(s) of forcing sexual behavior on an individual without their consent. Yeah, grabbing the pussy is not locker room talk.

Locker room talk is talk. Her tits were this or that. She did this or that when she came. Her sister was better at this and worse at that. Whatever. It might not be politically correct, it is probably in poor taste, it could have a few embellishments, and in my experience it is taken with a grain of salt.

Molestation and rape should not be watered down. Take a look at AJ's post below. We all know what side of the political fence AJ sits on. He would eat donald poop and claim it was apple butter. Just another douchebag on Lit. Millions of people are watching and listening to media describing the sexual assault as locker room talk. The term is not being used interchangeably with sexual assault. The two are far from equal. No means no.

Locker room talk is verbal, not physical. Do not fall into the conservative right wing's spin to protect their donald and call sexual assault anything else.

There will always be those who believe that it doesn't matter at all, after all, these allegations are being brought out by the "women".

If you believe that you can control a woman's body, how hard is the leap to believing you can do whatever else you want to do to it?

Well said Saint Peter.

I find it particularly disturbing when these types of remarks come from men that have daughters. Do they discuss this with them? What do they say about the accusers? It's even more dirrurbing coming from orher women.

I know we have differing opinions, but this is an excellent post Pete, it really is.

Locker room talk is testosterone filled bullshit for the most part. Guys brag about sex, how tough they are, whose ass they kicked, how much they can drink etc...its a fraternity environment that has no age limit.

But verbal and 'thoughts' aren't deeds and there is a far cry from saying damn that girl had a fine ass and actually grabbing her ass and harassing her.

Your point that it starts at home is very true for our time, but now? I think the net has a lot to do with it. Look how women are harassed and degraded and threatened all over the net and you see it right here in this forum all the time.

Course I'm sure that will be seen as different because I have the nerve to mention the GB has that issue, but its true. There are some guys here who play around at it and are kidding, and many women who know that, but there are the the AJ's and LJ's and the Lancecasters who really mean it and..its a joke.

But its not a joke when all that talk builds an actual culture.

But going back to the original topic, the crap guys talk about in locker rooms or poker nights or where ever its just a bunch of guys is pretty much 'real men' talk that I think half of them do because its expected of them, but its hot air, not aggressive behavior.

AJ is a vile individual. We have known it for years, somebody should pop his prairie nigger head like a grape and take his rented daughter away from him for her own safety and we'll being.

right on, brother

most people excuse their candidates wrongdoings, but this is a whole 'nother level

Right on! Trump should just charm the pussy like some other womanizers. ;)

They should. Strike up a conversation. Share a cup of coffee. Find a connection. Both are up for the ride. The dance continues.

Grabbing the pussy is a terrible first step.

if Trump did that...we wouldn't have Trump Jr, Eric, Ivanka, etc... hey, wait a minute bro!

Good post, petey. I think that men don't really have a clue how much verbal and sexual assault women go through. It starts early and happens often. We are trained to brush it off and keep it to ourselves.

I bet if the women here on Lit would share their experiences most of you would be floored at how pervasive this is.

Going to third base while in the batter's box is what T-ballers do.

Hi Jennifer!

I am an old dude. Nobody grabs my pussy today and nobody did in the past. Had I been female that might all be different.

That should not matter. Uninvited contact is wrong. Keep you fucking hands to yourself. This latest media bloat and the watering down of what grabbing the pussy is really all about makes me sick.

laurel would ban us all if we told the actual ages we were when it first started happening

Yep

If I were at Ferrero I would be pushing for them to do some PSAs right about now.

I get why women (in particular) abhor what Trump has done. What I don't get is how they can then jump in the Hillary camp after the way she defended her husband's own actions - calling the women liars and so many worse names. I mean, I DO get it. It's the whole "our person's sins aren't as bad as your person's sins because he's OUR guy kinda thing.

But really, these are two truly vile individuals with horrible histories toward common man. Love your neighbor? Not words our next President will abide by.

Yes to this!

Me, too.

A wife who defends her very imperfect husband is one thing, a man who openly brags about sexually assaulting women is a whole other level by several orders of magnitude.
