I was in the middle of it and according to the news I am supposed to be dead. I am not typing from the grave so relax. Hurricanes are one of the only times weather people get the spotlight put on them and they milk for all it's worth. If you live at sea level which at lot of people in Florida do and they should be rightfully afraid but the news is always telling us we are all going to die. I live at 70 feet above sea level. That may not seem high to you but let me put it into perspective. If you were on the seventh story of a building would you be worried about flooding out?

I know you were were making a joke but I don't live on the beach. Yes people that live on the beach should get the fuck out. You are in real danger. Holy crap. You are living on sand. For those of living thirty miles inland it is not really a problem.

I think that it is the confusion. The news always reports from the beaches and it is really bad there. I live 30 miles inland. That stuff just doesn't happen here. I lost power for an hour and a half. That was my great disaster.
