I'm not taking any sides in the Luk - Ish fight, since I'm not familiar with the GB past and superficially, it looks like it's a two-way thing. And I hurled plenty of insults myself.
So in a completely unrelated line:

I noticed two main insults that keep being recycled in the GB:
- homophobia and anti-trans
- ageism.

A lot of GBers seem to be more disturbed by the first than the latter. (Probably because they have more liberal leanings and the environment in the US).

I'm on the opposite side: Having not come across many cases of homophobia IRL, I find ageism to be much, much worse and in much poorer taste.
On top of that, the current Hollywood youth culture (valuing a stupid young stud while derriding an intelligent, wise older person) is among the most shallow things I ever came across. Next to Paris Hillton.
