I'm really looking forward to seeing the results to be posted after midnight tonight, California time, in the USC/LA Times poll. Those results wil include four days of tracking after the debate, and only three days of tracking prior to the debate. If Trump's numbers go up again, and Clinton's numbers go down again, which would seem unlikely, based on most of what is written and said about the debate in the media, that will be interesting, I think.

Trump, who is not the least bit conservative won the primary not only desp8te all the "insiders" warning he would be the disater he is, but probably partially because being panned by insiders is validation of his credibility as an outsider.

Yes, I think this is true. The problem for him is that he doesn't really add to his base on this from the primaries. His antics since then aren't diminishing his "hell, yes, stick it to them" base; but they aren't giving him inroads into everyone else. Every day in every way he shows that he isn't adult enough to do the job.
