Some friends of ours just bought a new house that backs up to a state or national park... nothing but trees behind them.. it was beautiful and the only sounds we heard were from the woods. It was so nice to get out of the city for an evening.

Some friends of ours just bought a new house that backs up to a state or national park... nothing but trees behind them.. it was beautiful and the only sounds we heard were from the woods. It was so nice to get out of the city for an evening.

After 23 years on five secluded acres in the woods in NW Florida we miss the forests, the 80 acres pine woods across the road, and the critters.
With luck, moving back to the midwest we live at the very edge of town on only 1/2 acre dead end trail. Our garage hides the home on the east, a row of tall pines hides the place on the west. We can barely see acres of corn beyond that.
Behind we have 50' of dense trees hiding another corn field.
It ain't heaven but it's home!
