True but I'm not so sure about the 'leaders' in Washington. Expanding NATO up to Russia's borders and playing stupid games in Syria does not strike me as smart or sane.

Switzerland may be a small country but they go through military service when they're about 20. Afterwards they keep their military rifle. They're also big on competition shooting and open carrying. Technically, the whole country is a standing army of well-trained marksmen at a moment's notice.
