Taking inspiration from Trolls

For those of you who take trolling comments personally and let them get to you.

In my Summer contest story an anymouse(aren't they all) troll commented they didn't like the story-which is fine-and said they haven't liked anything I've done and I'm obviously phoning it in.

After I read it, something clicked and the muse started whispering. "Hmm, phoning it in. Mom son story. Mom fooling around with the son and dad calls and mom talks to him while still fooling around....mom...Mom phones it in!

I then went off and wrote about 6200 words on the fly on that premise and it went up on Sunday with a note with the back story. Mr anymouse who obviously does not like my work now knows he's responsible for me releasing another story.

As a bonus, I got one of those scorned men loving wives whiners commenting because of the 'infidelity' and watched a couple of other readers mock him.

That's my method of handling trolls, don't ignore them, feed them. I can guarantee they aren't going to like the taste.

I don't know how many LW stories I've posted because a troll couldn't keep his mouth shut. It irked the hell out of them to comment on a story they were responsible for and was just what they wanted to read.

Then again, I also posted one about a particular troll, using his comment against him. He commented, I laughed at him and went back to writing stories I knew he wouldn't like. Never heard from him again.

The story didn't do as well as most of mine do. 4.44 which is low for me, but its also stroky and my longtime readers are used to the 'slow burns' but it was fun to write and most importantly mister troll is responsible for...

750 votes, 20 comments, 109 story favs on it and a slew of favs on older stories and a nice boost in author favs. Plus never underestimate the joy it gives me to laugh at that.

Hey now! There is nothing wrong with senior citizen sex. It's real simple from what I've heard.

Old man walking down the hall at home. He sees his wife coming toward him. He says, "Fuck you," as they pass.

What's to hate about that? They're dead of old age. I'm still alive. I got the best end of that deal. I was invited to the 45th Reunion. They decided on a 45th as they weren't sure many of them would be alive for a 50th. It's now been 57 years, and I still hike 30 miles a week year round in a local wilderness park.

Considering your favorite category, I'm sure your mom would be relieved to know you aren't into senior citizen sex.

Older....that works. a fifty year old guy in decent shape with a younger women is fine. Just like a cougar/cub.

You get into grandpa/grandma themes....ugh. Unless the author is really stretching it that somehow the grandparent at seventy still has a six pack or gravity defying boobs.

I gave up running 5 years ago. I ran almost daily for 55 years. It wasn't a difficult decision to quit. It was a rational one. Now I hike (3 or 4 miles a day, and one 9-15 miler on the weekend) and enjoy that. Less stress on 74 year old knees.

I can't do the things of my youth, but I can still do interesting things and stay engaged. When I can no longer do the things I want to do, "Check, please."

A very elegant way of dealing with those simple-minded individuals, bravo! Also the fact that you benefit from it and they get it into a direction they hadn't intended makes it even sweeter.

I personally love anon troll comments. They usually don't cause any inspiration in me, but I just find it highly entertaining to witness them reveal their very simple minds on the interneternt for everyone to see. Those are the moments I really feel superior to other human beings.
