Every year at my member tournament we give away a boat/car/cash for a hole in one. A insurance firm comes out, evaluates the hole, and sets a premium for the cost prior after determine the probabilities of a winner. We pay the cost, it is a sunk cost. Then we hope someone will win to justify the 50K/60K in premium we just paid.

Because the insurance company used a technicality to avoid their responsibility does not mean it is Trumps fault.
