Just start writing ... and keep going until you feel that you have reached the end. Then put it away for a couple of days, and read it from start to finish. If it turns your lights on, think about posting it. If it doesn't, put it away (for three months, six months) and then read it again.

I'm finishing part-2 of a 3-part story with a similar theme. But there's a 2nd couple, and part of the story deals with the same experience affects the 2 couples in different ways.

It seems an obvious Loving Wives candidate - but if I avoid LW, then where would you suggest I post it?

Or merely accept that it belongs in LW and that you'll grab many eyes and elicit many responses, not all favorable.
