Roadkill

(Armadillos have a high roadside fatality rate as a result of their defensive reaction. In most cases, a car would pass right over them, but when startled, armadillos jump about two feet in the air and come down rolled up in an armored ball. Works well against coyotes, but puts them right in line with a car's grill.)
