Have you read a story posted on this site that touched you or moved you in a certain way that caused you to email the author and let them know?

I don't read many stories now that I write my own, but there has been a few instances where I emailed the author and let them know their story moved me mainly because I can relate to it in real world terms.๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ Kant

If so, what kind of story was it? (Category)

I have a few times, but didn't always receive an answer. Mainly these came from the Lesbian category. :)

There's lots of great stories I've loved, of course.

I tend to gush over Gay Male stories. Er, no real world connection, I don't think. DWSimon, woeisme and DA Mackey I really love.

Hey now, I bet you would love reading Chapter 1 of "A Slut's Triangle" if you haven't read it. :) it isn't a typical gay male story since it has a T-girl main character๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ Kant

Most stories that have moved me or touched me have come from a Lesbian and Romance categories. :)
๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ Kant. Few other categories have done that with me. Like you, I rarely got a response from the author:(

Inspiration is the missing ingredient in every LIT story I've read. That said, GLYNNDAH and TIO get closer than most.

But I find inspiration in a few porn stories sold by Amazon. And Lawrence Blocks old porn stories inspire at times. I wanna feel the sickness that infects characters.

I always respond to readers who write me. Three, I've had extended email conversations with, one has become, well for lack of a better term, a friend and I keep in touch with them. I have thirteen people on my "Email me when you publish a new story" list. Interestingly enough, all but one of my "fans" are male (and I suspect maybe all are with one trying to be something he's not)

I suspect, but don't know, that authors that don't respond have probably lost touch with the email they use here. I did that with my one and only alt for about 10 years or so. Then I was talking via IM with a guy and it suddenly hit me why I couldn't get into my original profile. I felt like an idiot. Well, I am an idiot, so I guess I felt like myself. Anyway, I've changed that email to one I can use, but after so much time, no one has emailed me about those stories.

It could be that those stories are just so bad no one ever tried to email me though. :D

I don't read too many other author. I have gotten some moving feedback. One man recounted how he read my stories to his wife and thought I brought a lot of real emotion and heartbreak into my stories. To know that I have touched people feels very good indeed. It has lead to one co-writing assignment and a great feedback from another writer. She is an Asia woman who thought my female Asian character and her situation were very close to reality. I think both of us improved each other's stories.
