Well, of course, we don't have 'wild' skunks in the UK.
In a Zoo could be a different problem.

Yes, of such are dreams made.

I've had some ales in the UK that have gone a bit 'skunky,' as we say across the pond. And the dreams it makes are closer to nightmares.

On this side of the pond, there's nothing worse than a moonshine hangover or a headache buzz from bad homegrown. :(

I used to have an uncle who made his own wine. It nearly put me 'on the wagon'.

Some years ago, my daughter pinched a bottle of my "for Christmas" home-brew wine. She and her friend/s consumed it. I had one very, very sick girl for a while; she'd over-done the dosage, o'course.

When I was in high school my best buddy and I raided his grandmother's cellar for a similar bottle of her homemade dandelion wine. I can still remember the kick that came with it. Those little old farm ladies didn't fool around when it came to their special brews.

When I was in high school (all boys Catholic) we'd celebrate Fridays by walking up to Prospect Park. There was a grocery store on the way where cash was a valid form of ID. Beer only, of course, but it made a pleasant start to the weekend.

I've only drank alcohol once in my entire life, & I'm not even sure what it was...

It was New Year's Eve (not sure what year). I was in my early 30s, & 2 women came around. One was holding a container & cups, & the other simply supervising & helping. The one holding everything poured me a cup, & handed it to me, causing the other to place a hand between us & look at me questioningly. I confirmed I was in my early 30s "if that's the problem", & was handed the cup, which I finished rather quickly.

My fave part of story? No joke, I was in a rehab facility at the time.

Ha ha ha. Didn't see that one coming.
