"Basket of Deplorables" - Hillary Correctly Labels Trump Supporters. Beautiful.

"To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the `basket of deplorables'...Right? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it."- Hillary Clinton

Brave. Wonderful. Truthful.

And totally hypocritical LMFAO!!

Of course your sorry ass chugs her Kool-Aid by the gallon....no shocker.

Half? Isn't that approximately 47% of Trump voters? Yeah what a brilliant political move that will be.

It wasn't a bad one.

She's rallying haters in her camp to keep hatin'!

Another big difference is that Romney made his comment in private when he thought nobody but his Croesus buddies could hear, whereas Hillary made hers at the speaker's podium of a big campaign event. This was intentional, to a) rally up her base and to b) make the other half of Trump supporters uncomfortable with the company they keep.

Yea I'm sure half of Trumps supporters are going to bail on him because a misogynistic, racist and homophobic Democrat got all hypocritical and called him out for shit she's been doing for years.

the idea of the comments that i have been reading this morn is that its perfectly ok to be a hateful nasty person, but it is unbelievably rude to actually call anyone out for it.

You're right...Democrats do get super pissed when you point out HRC's strong record of homophobia, racism and misogyny.

They will even deny it when she's on film doing it.

So true.
Ironic that she now plays the role of an advocate for women's rights and talks the right talk, and that in one of her latest interviews she claimed that she was mistreated by her male colleagues and teachers at Yale, just because she was a woman.

When just a few years after graduating she defended a 40 year old guy who raped a minor (medical exam proof and all) , claiming that the victim "asked for it".

Rory should have put a trigger warning on this thread.

To protect her royal highness from having her hypocrisy pointed out?

Yes....that would have been wise for all the holier than thou Democrats supporting a racist, misogynistic, xenophobic bigot of a candidate.

And the typical Trump supporter responds, "What does deplorables mean?"

Actually I think a lot of Trump supporters are tired of being portrayed as all types of phobic when they're all not. They're just branded that way by people phobic of anything resembling honesty, as in they have the balls to believe what they choose and not what's popular. You know, like the OP.

Hey now....if you want border security that makes you RACIST!!!

Unless you're Hillary Clinton....:D

I don't live in the US, but from what I've seen in this forum and from what I read online, it seems to me like there are two types of Trump supporters:

1.Real racists, who ironically match the more extremist democrats and Hillary supporters (like the likes of RobDownSouth) in terms of intolerance

2.And those who gravitate towards him because they are sick and tired of the hypochritical discourse and lies of corporatists like Hillary.
- I bet that the latter, as much as the more moderate democrats and Hillary supporters would go for someone else, if they had viable choices.

Because as I recall, a lot of people -white americans and europeans too- were excited when Obama took office. And his race and humble background played a role in that too, because we all assumed that these would have made him more empathetic to the plight of the little guy.

And look how things turned out to be 8 years later:
Europe is now in shambles under the EU and american intervention (countries bankrupted or in debt), a large part of the Middle East has been destroyed. And now the TPP will wreck havock in the other hemisphere as well.
And as for internal politics: Obama is also the one who upped the militarization of Police and set the stage for a Police State. Among other things.

The rusted on Dems have been herded to the right wing of political thought for decades.

Now they've openly adopted the nastiness and hostility of those they claim to oppose.

No progressive could ever vote for La Clinton. You guys are right wing nut jobs.

War mongering, mass murdering, islamophobic, Russophobic, Sinophobic neoliberals and neoconservatives.

Nevermind what massmedia is saying, but most people that I came across (europeans, asians or from Commonwealth) have a different paradigm
for approaching politics.
And they're more worried by the fact that we all seem to be entering a new global, neofeudalistic-communist hybrid era under multinational corporations.

Some feel that the Left and Right split are just two sides of the same coin, since in their current form they have similar collectivistic ideals at their core.
Yet for some GBers, politics appear to be mostly about the left who's fighting the right.
Or maybe this R - L GB hype is just temporary? And related to the election year and their refusal to feel disempowered and with little say in their own politics?

Didn't say it was gonna work.

I gotta say, when you commit to a pony, you ride it til it's legs come off. it's almost admirable if it wasn't so hysteric.

What's so hysterical about it? Other than the fact that (D)'s nationwide have decided to collectively ignore everything Clinton has been up to for her whole career and try to church her up as some kind of progressive?

Also I've noticed everyone can make little bullshit comments about it but the NEVER refute a fuckin' thing. :D

I don't have to refute it. I just don't care.

Oh, and I know she's not a progressive. And again, I don't care.

The supposed genius (above) doesn't seem to know the difference between elude and allude. :D

Careful there, Rory. He maybe a third shift truck unloader by profession, but he has TWO college degrees. Computer Science and Mathmatics (sic).

Look who's suffering from tall poppy syndrome!
The druggee who's on a disability benefit for "chronic pain".

Yet you manage to make frequent HRC cheer squad comments.......sure.

I don't care enough to generate quotes.

And maybe you're not but I've always seen you backing the left and (D)'s over (R)'s and have no reason to think that somehow as far as the US election goes you're either suddenly gone totally unbiased or gone right.

Yeah, I'm more on the D side than on the R side. Which with my European perspective makes me centre right. So?

That's irrelevant in this election. I'm firmly against Trump. And "meh" on Clinton. Any somewhat normal candidate who can get elected and is not a bloviating assbag with the Head Of State chops of a heap of manure gets my endorsment. Like I've said before, if this was an election between Trump and Dick 'Vader' Cheney, I'd support Cheney.

Pfft....two minutes start-to-finish.

As you of all people should know, I'm quick but I'm good. ;)

:p
He sees himself as being witty and funny.

Your thing must work just like your brain then, you racist fuck.
Brief and inneficient bursts.
