What is the difference between a social justice warrior and someone who is truly passionate about a cause? Is there one?

People with a cause have reasons and can point out their cause. Policy A B and C are wrong because X, Y and Z.

SJW's pretend to back a cause against an imaginary boogey man 'racism' and 'sexism' being favorites to explain away their inadequacy and or failures with the emotional appeal of being a victim. When there is no evidence of racism or sexism.....just the feeling that the white devil or the patriarchy is out to get them!!

That's why when you ask SJW's to point out the racism or sexism that's keeping them from succeeding in life they spaz the fuck out on you, because they can't come up with anything real. So they turn to thought policing....needing safe spaces to protect them from ideas that challenge their carefully constructed victimization.

Reality is there is NOTHING holding women or minorities back, in fact they have huge handicaps available to them. Are there instances where an individual is doing fucked up shit? Sure, and we call them out and they generally lose everything because of it. But with regard to policy and politics the USA is one of the BEST places on the planet to be a woman and or a minority.

Asians and Jews figured that shit out a while ago...a huge number of Latinos figured it out and the rest of them are quickly following suit. That's why they have more white male privilege than white males

I can't speak as to minorities; however, I think women tend to hold each other back. The back biting and conniving ways - I've said in the past men will never have to worry about women breaking the proverbial glass ceiling because we will make sure no woman gets there first. Not all women are this way, of course.

I could get on my entire high horse though of how women are raised to be passive aggressive instead of forthright, that competition is not really viewed as "healthy" unless it's sports, or how the word slut really is a term used more by women than men. BUT I need to back away from that or else we'll be here all night *someone took too many Women's Studies courses in college*.

I can't speak as to minorities;

I can, it's the shit. I'm infinitely better off as a Korean in the USA than I would be in Korea. I could have been born in N. Korea had my grandmother not fled to this fucking wonderland paradise called the USA when she did. Or not at all, almost all of my family in N. Korea was sent to labor camps never to be heard from again back in the 50's.

Eh...that might be true to some extent.

From my experience the ones that go all in generally do better than men in most areas sans benching weights, fighting and bodybuilding.

But they are a lot rarer in a number of areas. Women willing to forgo a young persons life and live the company/military/politics......breath eat and sleep their careers? Those women are RARE.

Most women have kids, and then drop to 35hr weeks and stagnate. Most women understand and are self aware enough to understand they have security if they keep doing what they are asked and will happily retire from that average life so they can have a life outside work. Because the USA is pretty awesome like that and unlike most of the planet in that regard.

Believe me, (for the most part) I wouldn't make any decisions differently as my child is the best thing that ever happened to me. However, even while married and I pulled in the higher income, I had to question career vs. family. I don't think my ex-husband once ever had to make those types of decisions until we got divorced (but that may be a reason why we are divorced).

Anyway, it's getting late - my sleepytime tea is kicking in and I have a monster day tomorrow.

No different for men. It's incredibly difficult and freakishly for successful men to be able to have both.

Men, on the other hand, can have their careers and their family.

No they don't...

Guys who don't put the breaks on their careers and stagnate to participate in a family wind up either in a more than likely miserable marriage with kids who hate them or they wind up divorced with kids that still hate them. There are shit tons of stagnant males who don't put in the hours and effort it takes to climb to be Dad/hubby.

You just can't climb corporate ladder when you're busy going to school shit, sports shit and recitals. There just aren't enough hours in the day.

And that's not a female problem....that's a person with kids problem.

Believe me, (for the most part) I wouldn't make any decisions differently as my child is the best thing that ever happened to me. However, even while married and I pulled in the higher income, I had to question career vs. family.

No you didn't....you chose to. You could have put Jr. in daycare every day till late and killed it at work. I know parents in SF who do that. Their kids are basically sleep over guest other people are raising.
