The Living Works of Art Challenge

So my friend Mr. Zapel (not ALL my friends are imaginary) asked me to post on his behalf since he wished to express his creative side without his 200 rabid female fans finding out. That's not true, let me quote what he asked me to say, before he begins to regret giving me a free hand at the introduction.
😇

"Mr. Zapel asked that I post on his behalf, as he wished to express his creative side without disclosing his Lit ID. I will not reveal his identity, please don't ask, but you may direct any comments or question to me which I will happily (or not so happily) pass along."

The unknown thinker is going to be known for his very nice naked rendition. That's ID enough for many.

Change my title to what? And hey, I am always nice. You even say that to any picture I post these days.

From Selbst ist die Frau to Mittlere Mädchen or Mittlere Frau. You often act nice but any parent knows behavior and being are different. You scold a child for acting bad and not being bad. Bad behavior rather than bad child. Your pictures are nice. In this case pics don't have behavior (even if they capture behavior) so they are actually nice.

Please tell him I said "Nice." Just kidding. :p Please pass on...

"Mysterious Mister Z (or MisterZ to the edgy youth of America) welcome to the Great Game. Art is... well a dying art these days so thanks for helping preserve and spread it. Porn on the other hand isn't dying so another thank you for choosing art! If you've been bitten by the bug, there's three other works you can take a stab at. I'm sure the ladies will be quite happy about that! And it's all about keeping the LadieZ happy, right?" *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*"

Welcome, mysterious Mr. Zapel. That is a fine addition to our museum. And thank you, Lizzie, for bringing him here blindfolded so as not to reveal the secret location.

Hopefully he will be able to overcome his disappointment that the first comment was from a guy.

Look at you JRP, your own picture headhunter! Next thing she'll be bringing more ladies to look at the men she got to pose.

Disappointment? Nah. You're beefcake JRP. Just a hunka hunka burning love. I know that sounds snarky because that's everyone's default way they read my comments but if we were in prison I'd definitely trade a pack of cigarettes or two for you. You'd be my fuzzy, little spoon. :D

I liked the interpretation. Personally I like the black and white more.

I liked them too and I agree I liked the black and white more. But that's no surprise. Maybe next time I'll hang a sheet to cut down on the corner comments.

Cheers

Well he's a very nice addition to this thread! Thank you, who ever you are!!

Sneaking in under the deadline...

...here's my effort. This was a difficult one, as the position of the statue is quite artificial - right knee on left leg - who does that in real life?!

Still, here goes:

I'm pleased that you made it in time.
It's funny that even though no one sits like that it doesn't really look unnatural.
Your left calf does look very nice too.

Well this position really shows off your legs, so, win!!! :)

It might feel awkward, but it looks sooo good.
Your legs... And you are probably predicting I'll mention those lovely long fingers and toes.:rose:

I was kind of hoping Lizzie would bring along Mr. Z's 200 rabid female fans.

Beefcake, huh? Well, no one has called me that yet here . . . I'm not sure how I feel about it coming from you.

*reads rest of paragraph*

It is going to be hard to purge my mind of that disturbing mental image. I guess I should be glad you said "spoon" and not "fork". The worst part . . . you really think I would only fetch two packs of smokes?

Wait, "right knee on left leg?" Some sort of weird knee replacement surgery? :D

Glad you made the deadline . . . and no, I'm not going to spoon with you either.

Well well Mr HB, you are very worth waiting for. That's a good rendition. I agree about the pose.
I tried thinking in that pose yesterday. Didn't really get much thinking done.

Haha. That was an unusual comment even for HR.

I do think you underestimate the value of cigarettes in prison though.;) lol

I know right? I was quite taken aback but that should convince JRP more than anything else that he doesn't need anymore help getting sexy.

Haha. JRP might be asking for advice on how to get less sexy soon. 😝

Nah, I should just embrace it. I can call myself "Two-Pack Fuzzy-spoon." Hey, I could be a rapper with a handle like that.

Wrong thread.....but cool concept!

Can we expect to see a thick gold chain for that persona? Lol

My rendition. I didn't get the head tilt right, but I don't have the opportunity to take another picture right now.

That's a bit nit picky JPR. It's a really great rendition. And you look great too.

Oh I think you are pretty set with this picture. Sure, a few bits and pieces are off but overall, you captured the ethos of the sculpture and that's what art really is, isn't it? So well done.

On a side note... your abs!!!!!

Ah, the cycling muscles - I knew there was a good reason for climbing all the local hills... Thanks Icy! :rose:

...but Numi made me hold the position for ages, and now I can't move! Thank you, Tali! :rose:

Thanks Mara - I must confess that one of my first thoughts when shown the picture was "Mara will like it"! :rose:

Breathes sigh of relief (despite envious glances at your latest effort) :D

:D - perhaps you have to hold the pose all day until the thinking kicks in?! Thank you, Lizzie. :rose:

I like this one, with the head tilt fine too, but where's the view from behind?

I shall look forward to this challenge very much.

As a side note, thank you for the positive feedback from my first post.

And, a special thanks to Lizzie, for pushing me to stretch boundaries and challenge what I thought I knew about myself.:rose:

Welcome, mysterious Mr Zapel, and excellent work on your first post!
