Since it seemed like some people liked my first chapter of Serendipity and a couple people asked for more of it, I submitted part 2 on September 2nd. Since then it's been sitting there with awaiting approval/pending status.
Yesterday I went ahead and sent a PM to Laurel and haven't heard anything back and still Serendipity Chapter 2 sits there with awaiting approval/pending status.

Any ideas? I know it's only been a little over 24hours since I pm'd, but I have the patience of a boiling tea kettle!

The holiday weekend might have something to do with it. Even readers should get some time off occasionally. :) Not to mention there is a contest that just got over today. I don't know who is in charge of that, but I imagine a lot of time is going into that.

Yeah I took that into account too and wasn't too worried but then saw no change again today and I'm thinking it's been forgotten or overlooked or something.
With my other two stories I at least had a date after a few hours of submitting.

I will try to be patient...I will try very hard :D

Thanks!

The contest isn't even really over, just the submission deadline. I've had non-contest stories take up to two weeks to post during a contest. I think things run a lot faster these days, I'm sure it will get posted soon.

Thanks. I will try to not worry. I am such a pessimist most of the time...I worry about worrying too much! LOL!

I just think there is a backup lately. I've been waiting over two weeks for approvals for ASSTR membership and a story submission on Sexstories. Lushstories is also backup on in their queue. Patience.

Face the fact: the NWO does not like you. Procrastination on multiple pr0n sites is a signal. They have scanned your files and found you wanting. You are doomed.

WAH nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I'm going out to eat worms...
My grandma used to sing that to me when I was little and having a pity party for myself, LOL!

But of course as soon as I posted this now it says approved and I have a date of today. I don't see it up yet, but hopefully today or tomorrow it will be up!

And hopefully everyone will like it and want to read the next two parts. Ok hopefully some people will like it, can't please everyone!

One person, Laurel, is in charge of all things story.

🙀 And I was going to go off into one of my Star Wars moments and say "Use the force, Luke."💋 Damn, you took the fun out of that one:)👠👠👠Kant

Holy Crap! It's only been five days! And that included the weekend. And I'm sure there was a backlog from the prior weekend. As Laurel is the only one vetting stories and I'm sure you wouldn't begrudge her a couple of days off over a long weekend, five days is nothing. Be patient.

I'd PM again tomorrow. All of the proffered excuses aside, unless Laurel is off on vacation (which could be the case), she normally responds quicker than this even in the excused conditions scenarios.

Against the bulk of what is being processed through every day, a drop here and there should be expected--even from an augmented staff.

I had no problem waiting, especially because it was a long holiday weekend, it just seemed like it had been overlooked or something.

I say I have no patience but in reality I am patient to a fault. When I went for my disability evaluation I signed in and waited and waited for like three hours. Finally someone noticed me sitting there and asked what I was waiting for. When I told them why I was there and how long I had been there they checked the sign in sheet and somehow I had been overlooked. I was next to see the doctor.
But if someone hadn't asked I probably would still be sitting there waiting!

It's all good. Everyone deserves a break. I was just trying to be proactive.

Yes, if it goes five days for a solely textual submission without posting or getting a post date, you're probably being overlooked and have every reason to ask.
