What are you scared of?

The title is pretty self-explanatory....what scares you? It can be as simple as spiders or snakes, or as is my case and what prompted this thread, something decidedly less conventional.....

A vertical pin with no safety set.

Not being free. I rather die than have that feeling.

People who start threads and don't answer their own questions. :p

Oh...And heights!

An early morning phone call from the National Bone Marrow Registry telling me I am a donor match....I have a blood test scheduled for tomorrow morning that will take a week to complete before I will know 100%.....this will be the longest week ever.

 you win!

Good hell, I was typing it out and you guys took off without me!

You should have had this already formulated when you started the thread. It wasn't nice to work on my fears like that!

I am scared of losing my mother.

Thankfully, a big hearted gentleman was brave enough to be on the BMR (when it was much much less known about, 25 years ago). He saved my mother's life not once, but twice. I am eternally grateful for the time and experiences he has given us, and I will never be able to thank him.

I have my fingers crossed for you, and thank you for your bravery. :rose:

That's good news right? I do not like getting needles at all which is funny since I have a few tats and have even fallen asleep getting them.
You should talk with Leigh on here since she has had at least three bone marrow biopsies. Personally they'd have to put me out for such a procedure.

Not much really. I worry about many things but I can't think of anything that scares me.

Another crash like in 2008 where Wallsrreet rapes America again.. And walks away.. Yes.. Just watched The Big Short

Umm, while it may be more common, there is nothing simple about being an arachnophobe. The drywall repair in my bedroom is a testament to the un-simpleness of it all.

Horror or suspense thriller movies. Thank you Children of the Corn for scaring me for life.

I am so proud of you for being on the Registry...you are such a beautiful and kind human being...I wish more people knew just how compassionate and selfless you are and how much you always want to pay it forward...I deeply admire you and hope you know that ...I am blessed you are my friend...
