What is the best way to make perfect bacon? This skill eludes me.

Preheat oven to 350

Parchment paper on a 9x13 baking sheet

Spread bacon out as evenly as possible

Light sprinkling of water on the bacon

Bake about 10 mins to desired level of done ness

Dry with paper towel

Enjoy

That is intersting. Why water?

Since you are wearing an apron
are you in charge of it?

I just stick it on the George Foreman and go back the sleep, Michael Scott style!

I haven't burned my feet yet.

Microwave! The husband likes crispy so this seems up my alley.

Microwave and now oven. No frying pan!?

Where have I been?

Bacon is unhealthy.............. Call UPS and send it here immediately. I'll dispose of it!

Do you mean cooking or making?

Making requires the right meat, salt and some other items depending on the cure you want.
The meat has to be of good quality from free ranging pigs.

Before we moved back to the midwest our Florida neighbors gave us dead wild boar meat.
Makin bacon that way is delicious. But wlld sex in a pup tent is the best way for makin bacon.

hahha! We clearly don't know each other yet. I'm not a hunter or really, even a gatherer. I'm a package opener.

Oh you. It always comes back to the pup tent sex.

I used to date a deer hunter. Let's just say I miss the venison!

Cooking bacon and eggs at the little campfire is almost as good as sex with a deer hunter or any hunter-gatherer.

My dad(the ass hole) and those on his side hunt. I used to too a long time ago. Since they all disowned me the venison is what I've missed the most. Not sure if that says more about me or them?

ANYWAY, love wild boar and deer. When my grandfather was still alive he used to save certain less ideal cuts for making deer jerky for me and my brother. It always pissed my grandma off and he'd tell her where she could put her disapproval. He was the only one on that side that really cared for us. I get deer occasionally when my brother goes and hunts. He always saves a little for me to have.

I always manage to burn the bacon cookie, I think I put my heat too high because, well, I'm impatient and not a good cook.

I use the oven method, on foil to keep the drippings for gravy. This keeps the bacon pretty flat for sandwiches made with leftovers.

I also do the oven method.

I put mine on a cooling rack in the sheet pan so it's not sitting in grease.

It is the best solution for my household.

a) I don't need to monitor the cooking process at all and can focus on the rest of the breakfast. (You would need to monitor it the first time for the correct duration.)
b) The oven is still available for bread rolls.
c) The result is 100% reproducible. The output did vary with all other methods.
d) It's the least messy solution, like the frying pan.

Water causes it not to dry the meat while heating it. It's not 100% necessary.

I can be, but someone has to do the things that got me to take that picture.

Oh so you wear the apron and high heels and cook the bacon after I have made it. Perfect solution. I like mine grilled rind and fat a little crispy. Using a gass grill is possibly the best way I have found as the modern electric ones get to temperature then switch of for a while and back on again where I find a constant high heat works best for me
