Double Blind 4 will work like the Double Blinds of yore.

For those unfamiliar, it goes a little like this:

You send me a poem via PM that you want to have critiqued. It can be old or new, one of your best or a draft you want help with. If there is a particular part of the poem or some specific advice you'd like to get, let me know, and I will include that when I post the poem.

I will post the poems anonymously to the challenge thread–one every two days–for comments, critiques, and discussion.

Following the comment period, you have the option to edit your poem and send it back to me via PM to be posted at the end of the challenge. This will also be anonymous to allow a little time for people to comment on the changes and guess who wrote what, if they'd like to.

Authors' names will be revealed and added to their entries about two days after the revised poems are posted.

I will post a maximum of seven poems. If I receive more than seven, priority will be given to those who did not submit a poem in Double Blind 3.

You do not have to submit a poem to participate in the critiquing and discussion portion of the challenge. All are welcome to join in there.

Ideally, I would like to start this challenge on Sunday, August 28, which I will do if I've received at least three poem submissions. Otherwise, I will start it on Sunday, September 4.

I will continue to take submissions after the start date as long as there is still space on the roster. If I have less than the maximum of seven and two days have passed since posting the last poem, the challenge will come to an end, and I will announce that it's time to submit revisions.

So, there you have it: It's Double Blind time again!

You're welcome, Mags!

If I get at least three poems to post, I can start the challenge this Sunday. So, if you've got something ready that you want to put through the Double Blind, please send it to me via PM.

Thanks! :)

The Double Blind will be starting on September 4, if anyone wants to submit poems for critiquing. So far, I've received no submissions for this round.

I have one now. So, something will be posted next Sunday. Might be a short challenge this time. Hopefully, people will feel like commenting even if they don't feel like submitting anything. :)

I'll comment just to hear the sound of my own voice in my head.

Thank you to the poets who've submitted and who've said they plan to submit something for this challenge. My inbox got a bit busier. It looks like we'll have two weeks of poems and commenting to look forward to starting next Sunday. :)

Howdy -- I have been preoccupied with writing a story after a long hiatus, but it has been duly submitted and I am ready to take a stab at this if you haven't already met your quota of entries.

I have five ready to go, and one maybe, so there's an opening if you'd like to fill it.

My apologies for my less than regular posting schedule. Life keeps making me change my plans.

No problem, you are doing more than your bit in running this challenge.

When she was teaching in Thailand, one of my daughter's Thai friends told her "It's not that Thais don't make plans. We do. But sometimes plans change."
It's true well beyond Thailand.

Thanks :) Plans do need to change sometimes. I'm just trying to make sure that all the poems get at least most of the time they're supposed to have for comments.

The last poem of the challenge has been posted. If I receive all revisions sometime on Monday, I'll post them. Otherwise, I'll post the revisions I've been sent Tuesday evening.
