Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

...if you'rethinking of including Brainiac stuff in your bio, you might want to read up on G.R.I.D. in the above roster.

I would be open to a female Lobo, heh, but you'd have biker competition from Ghost Rider.

Think Starfire with the mouth of Lobo........ And yeah, I would read up on G.R.I.D........

Static would know kaldur right? Assuming he attempted to join the titans befire he firmally left the group.

We ahould probably lock that in place, who was on the team when he tried to join and why he left.

Kaldur is still a member of The Titans, if that's what you mean. He and Ruby have dual membership at the moment-- though that's taxing enough that they might have to pick one or the other.

How long ago, in your estimation, would Static have been a part of the team?

Did he recognize Raven?

Also! Hello Wyldfire, if youd like you can read throughTHIS. Its something ive been working on in my freetime, the full synopsis of the first event and then the personal story lines isnt compelte but the roster and several key people are on it along with a glossary full of information i found useful since joining

A Starfire has made brief appearances in the thread as an NPC member of The Titans. I wanted to cross-pollinate some worldbuilding with those guys. Her personality was somewhat inspired by that of the "Teen Titans" cartoon because Varshanka's Raven and Tertius' Beast Boy both have elements of those characterizations and I dig the idea of mixing and matching our favorite versions .

But you could play a version of Blackfire? Or another Tamaranean?

Or you could pick up that version of Starfire I wrote earlier and I can retroactively edit her personality to suit your version.

What i meant was more that he isnt a full-time live at the tower titan anymore. He has a l8t on his plate xD

He definitely recognized raven. Im thinking it was recently-ish. Before the new bang babies appeared which was a partial reason for him leaving

Damian was still a titan at one point in this timeline right?

Excellent, I was thinking of linking that.

Thank you, Wired.

Yes, but not at the moment. He left before switching from the Robin persona to Nightwing. When he left, Tim Drake rejoined The Titans as Red Robin and has now taken on a version of the Batman guise, so you could have known either of them.

Okay, just cementing who i know. And dont know. Yeah okay. So im going to say he joined shortly before damian left and left a ways after Drake arrived because his city was getting all kinds of screwy. Thats when he accepted a permanent position at STAR labs rather than freelance work and got his own lab. Ill write that up all in a flash back later.

Works for me.

You may also know Ruby, Starfire (whichever version we end up using!), Superboy, Kid Flash (Wally)...

I also should do a flashback explaining how Barry Allen's identity became public in this timeline, because a lot of people have known that's who The Flash is/was on Earth-1.

Alter Ego - Theodora "Thea" Grant

Alias - Wildcat

Age - 38

Appearance - http://pm1.narvii.com/5748/28b6bced839360ed64d6efafd2a15d733bbb33bd_hq.jpghttp://static1.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/13/134753/3027000-0tr.jpg

Personality - Gruff and matter of fact, yet still capable of being a tease and a flirt when it is appropriate. Thea is a stern teacher and a vicious combatant. She doesn't make friends quickly, but when she does she is a friend for life.

Gear (optional) - Thea's costume is similar to those worn by most of the "Bat family". Layered Kevlar with light plating. In her gloves, there are retractable claws that are about two inches in length, capable of being used for either fighting or climbing. The knuckles of the gloves are filled with powdered depleted uranium making them hit like the literal ton of bricks. There are a few hidden places in the costume that can hide a few small items such as lock picks and a black credit card.

Power/ability - A highly skilled hand to hand combatant as well as an acrobat with absolutely no fear of things such as heights. "Cat by name, cat by nature" definitely fits Thea. Among her fighting styles are boxing, mixed MMA, and Krav maga. She has had a run in or two with some strange things in her life including a miscast curse by an angry mage that lost money on one of her MMA matches. This has resulted in a rather unexpected perk of giving her the classic nine lives of a cat. She has run afoul with a bit of bad luck twice so far. Once was a car accident and the other was a drive by shooting. Two down and seven left.

Weakness - She is still pretty much a human. Bullets do not bounce off this girl when she isn't dressed for the party.

Bio - Born Theodora "Thea" Grant, Wildcat lived a rough life in the streets of Detroit. fending for herself with her drug addicted prostitute mother and her string of "uncles", some of whom had wandering eyes and hands. Thea was a bad seed looking for trouble through her entire childhood. After her third arrest for violent crimes in her teens she was shipped off to her grandfather that she had been named for. Theodore "Ted" Grant taught his granddaughter discipline and her fighting skills. He became her trainer/manager when she broke onto the mixed martial arts scene. Thea Grant, the Hellcat, soon became the top women's MMA fighter in the country.

This had problems of it's own. First was the mumbo jumbo Voodoo dude that spat at her in some strange language and threw cats blood on her. Then there was the mob idiots trying to get her in their "stall". The former ended up being a blessing when the mob tried to run her Grand dad over and she pushed him out of the way. She hadn't been as lucky as Ted and ended up being hit by the car. She got up from that with her Grand looking at her in shock. He had checked her pulse and there had been none. She tried best she could to keep Ted safe, but eventually the mob got him while she was in the ring.

Outraged Thea quit the MMA circuit and donned a mask. She took down the mob with extreme prejudice and earned the name Wildcat in the press. Once that mob family was gone Thea hung up her mask and returned to the gym she inherited from Ted. She also found out she had inherited one other thing from Grand dad. This one surprised her to no end. It would seem Ted had kept a secret or two himself. Thea is now known among the older Hero community as the go to girl for training the next generation of heroes. It was during this time a certain masked vigilante who shall remain nameless gave her a costume to wear for training.

When the older generation vanished she donned the costume for business this time and now the Wildcat is on the prowl to keep an eye on "Her kids".

Notes - Theme song: "Under and over it"- Five Finger Death Punch.

I am intrigued!

I recognize Yolanda Montez from the comics, but who's the wrestling faceclaim? I dig.

I would give her a higher intelligence than that-- somewhere between the mid-60s and 80?

But other than that I fully approve.

Give Varshanka a chance to sign off too and pick whatever nits she needs, but from my end you're good to go!

That would be WWE hall of famer Lita. I will up the intelligence some dear.

Give some thought to where in The States you'd like her to be based.

If she's helping The Titans mentor up-and-coming heroes (which was a role the team had taken on before The Justice League vanished), then I suggest she be based in New York City, as Titans Tower is on The East River and you'd presumably want to be in striking distance.

I am of a mind that Grand dad's gym was in Harlem or the Bronx. I am also thinking I may have made her a bit too old too.

Ruby "Hotline" Reed's just hit her 30s, she started heroing when she was 10 and she's been at it for 20 years-- which is when I'm saying The Justice League first assembled, about 20 years ago in 1996ish. Aquaman, Kid Flash, who were sidekicks at about the same time, they're in their mid-to-late twenties.

The original members of The Justice League would have been in their mid-to-late forties.

So if Thea wants to be a little older than the young-uns for an edge in experience on that generation of heroes, while still slightly younger than the original recipe JL, that's totally cool.

Okay. I wasn't sure how old most were.
