but I'm going to disagree with you on this. While Christianity is the majority in the US, should we be forcing it on those in the minority?

We are one of the more secular nations on the planet and we in no way force Christianity on anyone. Occasionally some loons in a state (usually the south) step out of line but the SCOTUS pretty much keeps that shit in line.

While not perfect we've gong to great lengths to protect freedom of religion by keeping it the fuck out of politics.

We are getting BETTER at not forcing our religion upon others. People throwing a hissy fit about the pledge of allegiance allegedly being banned in public schools is a step backward to being a secular nation. Same with Christmas pageants, trees, etc. There is separation of church and state. Schools are state entities. People who want religion taught in school have the option to send their child to a private school with a basis in religion. Can't afford it? Then teach your child religion at home. Saying a ridiculous pledge doesn't teach anything more than recitation. It's truly the same thing with fighting about Christmas parties/holiday parties. Christmas is a Christian holiday. People need to stop getting their panties in a wad about their children's schools having "holiday" parties then.
