Ever internet search yourself?

I don't mean yourself personally. I mean your author identity.

The search "heyall" turns up nothing in regards to myself. But "heyall stories" turns up a bunch of erotic stuff of mine, with Lit on top. Below are other of my stories posted on other sites. However, I never posted those. I guess someone was nice enough to post my stuff on other places for me. :)

A few searches will turn up my stories.

If someone were to type "anal curiosity" two of my stories show up on the first page. With searching "bondage questions," my story shows up on the second page.

One of the things I think is really cool is that if someone searches "bondage professor," my story "the bondage professor" is the number one search result for both yahoo and google. So if someone is looking for that sort of fantasy online, they'll find my story. :)

I've also noticed that yahoo seems to show more erotic results than google.

What about you?

Yes and all I know is I hope to hell know one close to me ever googles "Laura Lovecraft"

Yeah, Zeb_Carter or Zeb Carter, google gets confused and finds some special forces guy who write mystery novels. Not me. Even if you add Literotica, it still doesn't find me.

Xavier Carter brings up the that great track and field Olympian from long ago.

Adding Author to the the search, does bring up me.

Connor G Madison hits it right away...in fact you get a list of images of the covers from my stuff online.

Most for mine is Texas Radiation and no, I don't glow in the dark. :D

I have an extremely common name that my mother and father gave me. In fact, during my google searches, One link said that there are over 1500 in my state alone.

A nickname that I go by often in certain circles comes up with nothing either, apparently there are a couple companies with that name.

If you add BDSM to that search, the third result is my adultspace page that I haven't updated in 8+ years.

using my name here is garbage, there is apparently someone that uses it on tumblr flickr, and a few other social media sites.

Add Literotica to that search, and there I am. I didn't know it until I ran that search, but I am quite proud to say that I ended up number 23 on this list: https://www.literotica.com/top/Incest-Taboo-9/last-30-days/?mode=publishes (please note, it is an ever changing page, I will be off that list in 2 weeks from this post)

A websearch on my author identity points straight to my Lit submissions page. But my id was created with searchability in mind.

If I use "jkendalldane" the entire first Google page and a big chunk of the second is all mine, with my Lit submissions page being number one.

If I use spaces "j kendall dane" the top ten results that pull up go to something of mine.

In Google, I can find my writing alt... but the link is to something called proudfamily.xyz. if I go to my member page through that link, it redirects to something with tracking in the first part of the addy.

*backs away slowly and scans my phone for creepy things*

I hadn't googled my name on here since I haven't been using it for long (I created it specifically for this site). Turns out there are tons of people who had the same idea, using the same name for all sorts of social media, blogs, forums, etc. None of those are me. And there I thought I was being original...

I sometimes search for 'copyright oggbashan' to see which is the latest site to steal my stories from Literotica.

They do end up in some very odd bot-infested places.

I just tried it.
The aviation firm after whom I'm named (I like aircraft), provides a wealth of distracting information.

I only have the one work atm and I'm not active on any other sites so it just pulled up threads on this forum and a few stories I've left comments on.

Five pages and except for one entry for "Mary MacGlynn, Dah Yah ...", they're all me.

And I just found a few websites that have snitched my stories...

Time to send an email or two. One's in Czech or Hungarian or perhaps Russian with a smattering of English so I doubt I'm going to be able to do much there. Another one is an "article" about the availability of buying sex toys at Walgreens and my story seems to be listed as a reference in the "bibliography".

You just won the thread with that one! :D

"8letters" was a very poor choice for this type of search. Gets processed by Google as "8 letters" and I get lots of crossword puzzle-related web pages.
