My younger neighbors used to say it a lot, especially when others mentioned holes, etc., & w/some kind of accent on last word.

All 3 (2 boys I was friends with & their my-age sister) went military, & I still have no clue what it meant!

So far in life, I have never met a physicist without a sense of humour or a builder I didn't like. Maybe I have been lucky.

Partly lucky. Humourless physicists tend to be anti-social, so very few people get to meet them. Builders where I am are very affable as they overcharge and under perform.
