As Gianbattista said recently, some of us thought we might respond to KS' Jeremiad by starting new threads and seeing if they sink or swim.
This is not remotely an original thread, since it was started by the late lamented Jelly before she left for a better place. I think it was on How To then and perhaps did not get the traction it deserved in that charming but somewhat bucolic location.
The idea is very simple. Laurel decides to use some of her well-gotten trillions on buying a private island for Litizens. The discussion more or less goes from there, but a few obvious questions to consider:
What island do we buy? ( I rather like this one.)
What do we bring with us?
Who wants to come?
Do we manage to maintain one island, or will we require an archipelago for the various factions?
How long before we develop a cargo cult/war with the Playgrounders/interesting new disease/etc?
From what I remember last time, it all got delightfully sordid quite early on with people fighting over 1HF and Garnate. That would be a bonus, naturally.

And if you start serving Kool-Aid, I'm out.
Haha.
Kinda like Lost...Jelly can return as different people.

I'll be happy as long as I can bring the dog and swim naked.
I guess eating would be important too.
I'd like a tree house and a cabinet position.
I give us about 17 hours before we kill Piggy and shatter the conch.
i want a hobbit hole and a position with the air force.

See, this is already beyond perfect. We will drink coconut water - it's very 2014, of course, but Litsters cannot be hipsters. Not if we want to keep our simple island life, sanctified by millennia of GB tradition. A tea plantation might be started, of course - Botany Boy might be in charge of island horticulture. (You can take a whore to culture, but you can't make her think.)
Books will have to be written afresh, on bark. This will be Cultural Year Zero, and Killswitch is in charge of ensuring that it remains so.

Perfect! I can't imagine this working without pot. Gotta keep the super political from killing one another somehow.
