My alma mater's mascot was a tiger. In Marching Band, our late PA guy used to call us "The Muscial Pride of..." my school system, "the _ Tiger Marching Band!"

Main issues with that? There are a few other Tiger teams in the area, so never knew which one sportscasters were discussing without listening-to/reading most of it. Also, local college (where my sibling went after graduating from our shared alma mater) has all its teams known as the Penguins.
