Flash Fiction

I have two questions regarding flash/micro-fiction (which, for our purposes, will mean anything under 500 words).

First, is the form too brief and restrictive for compelling erotic stories? I don't really believe so, but I'm interested to hear what others have to say about it. I've had a few fans of erotic fiction tell me that a story that short doesn't allow for enough build up or characterization to really deliver. I'm not convinced that's true. What do you all think?

Second, is there a thread or area in the board specifically for erotic flash fiction? I've seen threads for poetry and such, but I haven't found one for micro-fiction yet.

I don't know of any flash specific area on Lit, but there is a 750 word minimum here.

I've only posted one, but I was surprised how much can be done with so little.

I'm a huge fan of flash fiction and I think you can do very erotic stories in that very short format.

Sometimes I write 50-word stories.

I submit them in sets of 15 (15 x 50 = 750) to get to the minimum word limit. If you don't want to write 15 at once you can submit them as Poetry.

I like experimenting with Flash Fiction, too. I believe there are a few very short story threads in the Writer's Challenges section? Probably much shorter than 500 words, but may provide some inspiration.
