Oops! Since I contributed to the derail, I guess I should at least answer the question.

My experience was similar to Suz_anne’s. Four or five months on the BDSM board before anyone acknowledged my posts. I still remember how excited I was to receive my first non-predatory PM from a board regular!!! Woohoo!

Nowadays, if I find myself unacknowledged on a thread I get bored or pissy or whatever and move on rather quickly. *shrug*
