Few actually will admit to seeking attention. But in some shape or form, it's why we're all here posting. If no one ever replied to a post or answered a PM of yours, how long would you stick around?

I'm far too awesome for that to ever really happen.

If nothing else, my stalker pmann would reach out to me. So I got that goin for me, which is nice.

Responses? Wow. Next you'll be saying I might even get some of those PM things. Or a legendary unsolicited cock-shot. All the girls love those. Sigh.

Charming. I like that. I'm not vulgar....I'm charming. :D

PM's? I've heard about those in legends, they say only women get them though. XD
Also who wouldn't want pictures of roosters? They're awesome.

I'm pretty whorish when it comes to attention, I guess. I'm, at least, comforted by it. When I am just posting into the air, it makes me feel like I'm just getting in the way of more meaningful input. If someone likes a song or a little thing I write, though, I can cast that idea aside...for a little while, at least.

Oops! Since I contributed to the derail, I guess I should at least answer the question.

My experience was similar to Suz_anne’s. Four or five months on the BDSM board before anyone acknowledged my posts. I still remember how excited I was to receive my first non-predatory PM from a board regular!!! Woohoo! :D

Nowadays, if I find myself unacknowledged on a thread I get bored or pissy or whatever and move on rather quickly. *shrug*

I guess that makes me a patient attention whore, but only if particularly motivated.
