Nothing brings the world together like the Olympics!

I keep forgetting how people are SOOO mature these days.
 
Butt seriously, I don't think many people are paying attention to these Olympics, I saw the ratings were at a 12-year low.

Too much bad press.
 
I've never put anyone on ignore. I'm too paranoid I'd miss something good.

And yeah, I haven't watched one second of the Olympics. I guess I'm not paranoid about missing anything there. Or maybe I'm just a non-patriotic assplug. Could go either way.
 
In other bringing people together news:

As one of the buses shuttling Olympic athletes to the opening ceremonies prepared to board, members of the Lebanese delegation blocked members of the Israeli delegation from getting on because the Muslims refused to ride with the Jews. Per a witness and as reported at the Times of Israel:

“The bus driver opened the door, but this time the head of the Lebanese delegation blocked the aisle and entrance. The organizers wanted to avoid an international and physical incident and sent us [members of the Israeli delegation] away to a different bus.”​

I stopped paying attention when the Eastern block started doping up and we started sending professionals...

You know most of the NBC team feels like a bunch of hostages down there.

I'm hoping Dan Patrick makes it back alive, I like his radio show.
 
Nothing they do now will compare with the gymnast who broke his leg.

Naah, I don't think that's the main reason for it.

Too much stuff going on around the world, with the terror attacks and Brexit/ Putin, NSA leaks and so on.
They're just getting their adrenalin rush from somewhere else. I now I do.

I would suggest his career may be finished, but with titanium rod in both tibias, he may become the world's oldest gymnast.
