That annoying "calling all angels" song @ the end. (Jane Siberry, Google says. Train's is FAR better.)

Google. Now there's a name that I recognise. After that, I'm a bit lost. And I assume that the 'Train' referred to is not John Coltrane, because that would be 'Trane'. Mind you, I agree that much of what he did was FAR better than many of his contemporaries. Did Jane Siberry play slide trombone with The Kenny Ball outfit? Or am I getting hopelessly lost here?

That's two of us

Reminds me of 1 man who performed "YMCA" with a bunch of fake men on "America's Got Talent". They put him through to next round (probably largely to see what he'd do next; they seem to do that a lot, & give "No"s to actual talent), & he did same thing with "Navy" song.

Watched "Wild & Out" episodes last night, & remembered title starts with "Nick Cannon Presents", & the best jokes are about (guest Shaq's albums outselling) Nick's music career/his exes, etc... They really need to put "Truth In Advertising" laws on both shows, & simultaneously remove Nick. (Howie can host "Talent" & make occasional joke, while Howard Stern & someone replacing Mel & Heidi each with actual talent can be new judges.)

This is all Greek to me. I have a six year old and the only show I've seen recently was Orange is the New Black on DVD.

I was watching "Conan" the other night, & the second guest was Adrienne something. I had IMDB'ed her, & saw that was what she was on... I didn't watch after the first guest was done.

I do have an old Rolling Stone with a cover article about that show (the non-Kunis female from "'70s Show" & another are on the cover), & I did read it...

But frankly, I'm split.

On the one hand, a while back, I adopted a rule for myself that I won't form opinions on any music I haven't heard, shows I haven't seen, etc... On the other, I'd rather see Spacey win another Oscar for "Nine Lives" (I think his new movie's called) where he's a cat half the time than "Orange...", "Veep", or "House..." be nominated for Emmys.

How can these be nominated when half of us don't even have the "channel", yet Roday can direct shows for CBS & Bomer can be a major part of both "Magic Mike" pics, but they never got nominated for their USA Network shows (far better than half the crap the broadcast networks air these days)?!

I really hope the mother ship gets back soon.

.

"So long and thanks for all the fish!" Alternatively, a really spectacular double back flip through a flaming hoop while whistling The Star Spangled Banner. I really need to read that Douglas Adams book I have sitting on my shelf, but once I've read it there will never be a Douglas Adams book waiting for me to read for the first time.

Don't worry. As you get older, re-reading most books is like reading them for the first time anyway. :)

Reminds me of those million "See it again for the first time" ads, or NBC's old "It's new to you" ads (at least one used some old classical music with new lyrics) ads for their Summer TV schedule...

"Frasier makes out with a pup
Hey look! He's barely standing up!

INTY... NBC gives you a chance
INTY... To re-learn the robot dance."

That's all I can recall, & Google & YouTube both came up empty.

Was that a Jabberwocky that just fly by?
