Who would ever have guessed that a thread all about Miles would turn nasty and personal? I am shocked, shocked, to find these goings on in here of all places.

I have a soft spot for Miles. He was the first person ever to put me on ignore - at least, to tell me he was doing so. It took one post - it may even have been my first ever GB post. Goodness knows what appallingly offensive thing I must have said, but I know he was a sensitive soul.

I find it revealing that some posters who are ride-or-die for their team assume great lamentations on my part because on some issues, Miles and I were in accord.

I hadn't had any interaction with him in some time, as Que had he and BB on ignore to clean up the front page. Nothing particularly personal just simply not that interested in politics the last couple of years. Couple of lefties on the list for the same reason.

Remember your thread about alts where people were shocked, not that I had alts, those are ubiquitous around here, but that I would admit any and describe their use.

Rob has made a lot of hay off that post since. No longer hiding his multitude of sock puppets behind Cade (who hasn't been heard from since) but attributing them all to me.

I revealed Conager to showcase what an actual alt of mine looks like and draw the sharp contrast to Rob's pedestrian efforts.

Miles didn't get the memo, or else he did and noticed I had not engaged him in years. Either way, Conagers mostly empty ignore list resulted in more contact. Offense was taken, not sure if Conager was iggy'd or not.

I would rather not have left it like that. Miles at time could be quick-witted. I'll miss that. Other times a bit myopic, to put it charitably.
