Riiiiight the website. You know my phone has issues too. It keeps inserting an 'n' every time In type 'in'. See!!! Tell you what, you change yours and I'll change mine to match and then days from now everyone will have forgotten and future viewers will be none the wiser. What do you say? Well I know what you say sometimes. But I meant about my proposition. My editorial proposition.

I've had flashbacks a couple of times. A certain burning plastic smell can flash me back to that day. The first time was very disconcerting. Why? On the original day I chose to fight but in the flashback I chose to flee. Lucky for me it's been a while since I've had one.

Yesterday was a special day for me. It was my birthday and my rebirthday. I've had 51 of the former but this was my first of the latter. Funny, I don't remember much of my first birthday (I think I was hitting the bottle pretty hard that day) but I'll never forget yesterday. And even though I don't speak with all of them anymore I won't forget the women that helped, nudged and sometimes pushed me towards my new life.

• You were the first and so much of what I am on Lit is because of you and Lit figured quite prominently in my rebirth. Thank you more than I can ever adequately convey.
• You simply crawled inside my head and refused to be ignored which was good because sometimes you were my voice of reason when mine was on vacation.
• You showed me that if you choose well it's possible to stay in love forever and that I had nothing to fear but fear itself.
• You showed me that if it doesn't work at first, try again because it is possible to live, learn and love.
• You proved that not only can anyone fall in love again but that I could with someone that accepts all of me, without condition.
• You taught me that just because you're not half of "the" perfect couple doesn't mean you're not half of "a" perfect couple (but sometimes you have to fight for your perfection).
• You gave me the greatest compliment I have ever received from a woman and changed some of my paradigms, forever.
• You showed me I was not alone and validated my choices but most importantly you made me laugh. It was a balm for my soul.
• You were a different first and reminded me that sexy comes in all shapes and sizes but more importantly that love knows no bounds, physical or electrical.

All of you and others throughout my life played some part in my yesterday. Though some of you don't want to hear it, I love you. Some as friends, some as family and some as more.
