And here I was trying to conceal the fact that I am no longer of an age where I have to consider 'What next?' Gravity is well and truly in charge. The door is that way. :)

Must remind myself to see if you've posted anything 12 hours from now. If so, you still have to make that consideration... We all will die, but don't necessarily know how or when.

I see my door, & don't know when, but know I will likely be exiting & entering a few times Friday, probably Sunday, & certainly middle of next week. Those are trips I've known about for various amounts of time. Rest of time is empty, but that means I have to make sure I fill Saturday (for instance) with things I know won't stop me from surviving until Wednesday, when I have somewhere specific I am expected to be.

That reminds me of "I have a subsequent engagement."

Ah. That requires skill & cunning, as well as a fast car and a replacement mobile telephone.

"But Doris; you said you no longer loved me. . . "

'Ah, yes - but that was before you said that you had a fast car and a spare cellphone, HP. Now that I can see that you are a man of means ....'
